The problem is DLC, what is going to stop people from finding the sticker image online and simply importing it for free.

Cheesy, that's being unnecessarily mean and unproductive just telling someone to shut up. You're on this forum to discuss, if you don't want discussion, don't post anything. Remember that there's more to making LBP, than just making LBP. There are legal concerns about why imported stickers is not allowed. If a user imports a copyrighted image, then uses it in a level at all, let alone inappropriately, and publishes it. MM and Sony could get into legal issues. Generally, it's not too much an issue since they're basically a platform holder, not directly responsible for user generated content, but they are responsible for being the ones who host it. At least, that's what I remember about basic legal situation. A lot has changed and is constantly changing about its legality though. But anyway, one of the things this means first and foremost is that such things would add cost overheads to running and maintaining LBP2's community network. They would have to hire people to go around censoring and moderating, add systems to filter everything in levels, etc... you can imagine how impossible, and how expensive that would be. Now, I know what you're going to say, you can use the camera to take pictures of copyrighted things to use in levels. Well one of the major differences here is that it's the user, who took basically a photograph, and then used it on the server. MM is much less liable in that situation. After all, we take lots of photographs and can use them in all sorts of ways in everyday life, there's much more legal freedom when it comes to that. However, there is a bit of freedem when it comes to custom sticker creation via a complex sticker creator tool, one that involves using lots of overlayed simple shapes and patterns, much like how modnation racers handles things. However, we've also seen that such methods also add processing overhead to use.

Sorry! I unknowingly took my anger at my little brother and projected it at lbpcentral. Something in me either is saying" NO NO IM SO SORRY *SOBS*" or is saying "Your eyes are dry, crying activated!" EDIT: just so i dont go off topic, what we realy need is a corner editor for stickers. and the as for the unknown crying experienced another reason is that my mom burned a pot earlyer and smoke from that could have caused that. (dont worrie im fine)

What's really needed is a lasso-style tool to use for stickers. One where you can outline what you want to crop out using a sort of dot-to-dot method (for ease of use with a controller), then simply press a button like circle and everything outside of the selection area is deleted. It would make sticker creation far, far easier, imo.

Corner edit tool would be better than a lasso tool because you can edit it whenever you want and stuff.

Up the PSeye sticker quality and Corner editor for custom stickers. That's all I'd really need (even though I dont even have a Pseye yet xD )

Personal photos of people could be abused The 3 above could really be fatal for LBP so I believe they should instead make more useful stickers. And anything we don't have can just be in a DLC

You should be able to report individual stickers, and not just the level. That way, any offensive content is banned from being used.

Even though it works well sometimes. other times when you to have the precise fit of an object and want to cut it in halfyou do the process,and now it's not the perfict fit. So I thought that it would be a good idea if Mm made a tool almost like scissors cutting paper. Where its just a material cutter type tool. idk but I think that it would be really useful.

Vertrucio, look what got level of the year, a Dead Space level. That is copyrighted, so I wouldn't doubt any of this. Read through MM talks about the issue of copyright. You'll hear them say how certain properties have been white listed by their IP holders. After all, a good level in LBP is the same as good free marketing in general. We can safely assume that the Dead Space, and a lot of EA properties might have been white listed, especially so if MM is willing to present it with a level of the year in a prominent way. But we're not talking about levels set in the theme of something, because even that's a bit different so long as they avoid using copyrighted artwork. I've dealt with a little big of legal issues in my old modding days, and I have to deal with copyright issues aplenty these days as a freelance artist. It can be pretty complex at times, and gets even more so the bigger you get.

Start a thread about then, I'm totally with you on that one . Maybe like you get a shape and press a button and it makes an outline cut of it like triangle does for deleting and erasing?
