For a more detailed overview, see my post on this siteSNTT.com (http://psntt.com/643/trini-lbp-level-odyssey-of-dementia/)

I appreciate anything...comments, questions, request for hints, suggestions. I will accept the suggestions even though my level has basically 'overheated'.

Thanks in advance.

That looks really cool, and if nothing else, a profoundly interesting concept. I plan on playing this ASAP2010-06-30 15:40:00

So, I'm curious....does this level actually explore the experience of dementia, ie: becoming confused, forgetful, prone to wandersome and aggressive behaviours, or did the word dementia just sound cool for a level title?2010-06-30 17:09:00

So, I'm curious....does this level actually explore the experience of dementia, ie: becoming confused, forgetful, prone to wandersome and aggressive behaviours, or did the word dementia just sound cool for a level title?

There are slightly different meanings for the word if you check it up. It does not explore it but lets you experience the madness associated with it. On psntt.com I go into detail about what it means and why I chose that theme. But truly, it describes the frustrations/madness/psychochotic behaviour I exhibit when things go terribly wrong or I fail at an important task. I'm a perfectionist. This is how I feel. So I express it in this survival level (yes it is a survival).
So it is a form of personal artistic expression. It's mostly visuals, but you decide if you wish to ignore your predicament and opt for a relaxed feeling (giving up) or just fight your way through and explore what solutions/problems you would create for yourself.

This is important. I need feedback from as much people as possible because someone told me that the level was so dark that he had to raise his brightness so much just to progress. I'll admit that I've my brightness set to 40 but that's because my Energy Save is on, so it looks just perfect to me. Everything I play and watch looks fine. But I need to know if it is my TV's fault so I can adjust the lighting. I don't have any friend that has the game who lives near to me, so I can't witness what another TV displays. Please indicate to me.

On entry, the level is dark, but not dark that you can't see ahead or the structures. Imagine Tim Burton's aesthetic and you'll understand what the lighting for the intro should look like. I can't explain the rest because it would spoil.

Also NOTE: Although the pic shows a cave, that was my first picture during development (5%completed at the time) but it looked nice. About <10% of the entire level has caves/cave-like structures. It has varied environments or themes.

I am proud of this concept even though most people may not appreciate it. It is mainly visuals, so you move through it immersing yourself in the scenery. However, you may choose to try things and 'play-around' with the environment. The level reads some things like that and manipulates the level (objects, creatures, even the platform itself changes!). Yet the experience IS a survival challenge in a way. Don't worry if you cannot reach some bubbles. You could've changed that. These things also tie into a meaningful rank-mechanic. You can only understand the worth of my creation by playing more than once. Sorry if that is inconvenient, but that is my art. Keep on your toes to avoid sudden death. My friend just got the highest rank...I dunno if he used my online guide, though I doubt that as he was playing whole day.
