Lost in Sponge Tomb!TheSpartanDon
Upon crash landing on an mysterious island in the middle of nowhere you soon find yourself trapped in an ancient tomb. Can you escape by defeating the vicious beasts in the tomb and solving the puzzles? [1-2 Players Recommended}
Hey guys,

I've just finished my latest project 'Lost in Sponge Tomb!' It's my second level I've built so don't expect an super high quality level. That's not to say that it isn't polished or fun, I've been testing it a lot with my little sister to make the level as fun as possible but also challenging.

Yes, it's an spiritual successor to 'The Spongey Tomb' an level I published an while ago. I've learned a few lessons from that level and I took my time building this level too (took me 5 days for those interested) I've play tested the hell out of it and there shouldn't be any bugs/level-breaking glitches but please warn me as soon as you find one.

I'll F4F as fast as I can, once I see your feedback in my post.

Thanks

OK, this level is ok, but nothing really stands out.

I would say that the beginning part looks good, but it also seems like things are placed kind of randomly.

I could see almost all your switches, maybe hiding some would be a good idea, especially hiding your pistons.

The part where you use the jetpack was a pain.

The puzzles were very basic. "Find a piece of sponge, drag it to matching key." Definitely theme it up. Make it an actual key-shape or something, then make THAT needed or even get more creative.

Using the explosives to blow up that wall was useless since we can't see the explosion. Maybe swing over, then back to get a switch so it can be seen?

The sponge monsters were funny looking, but pose no threat since you can just walk on a level the weapon isn't shooting on. Hint, using that pulse weapon, make an item of 3 deep, then emit THAT so you can't just sidestep the gun, you have to time it. Also maybe don't use a switch to pull to kill them, place a vulnerable brain.

Once you go up from the 3 key/jetpack area the jump is a squeeze, it's tough to make it where you go left, then up, right before you jump over. Raise that right jump a tad so it's a smoother jump left.

The Run for your Life part: Just put that flaming rock on an emitter so every time you pass that part it emits the rock. DO it like this on the emitter: Amount ever created: infinite; Amount out at once: 1; Lifetime: The time it takes for it to travel and fall. Then put gas in that pit. This will make it you you must outrun the rock each attempt. It's not hard so do that. Then you can get rid of the spawn right at the jump and make the spawn before the rock infinite.

The giant sponge was pretty cool, but once again it was just a switch away form him to kill him.

The very end was funny but a bit awkward with a jet powering the boat.

All-in-all this level is ok. Not horrible, not awesome. But as you second level, good job!

:star::star::star:

Definitely work on your themes, using stickers and making more sensible obstacles, enemies and traps.

F4F: Please play and review Dark Water chapter 1, link in my signature! Thanks!
