Question About Create Mode

Archive: 7 posts

Uh, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but here goes...

I'm about half way finishing my first level on my game, and there's something I've been trying to do and I need a bit of help. @_@ It's a park-themed level, and I want a balloon to appear to float Sackboy up a ledge. However whenever I put a balloon in the level and attach some string and grabbable material to it, it just totally floats up straight away D= Is there any way to make it not float up until Sackboy grabs it? Preferably when a magnetic or sticker switch is activated?

Attach a tiny piece of static dissolve material to it, then have the switch trigger it. Hope that helps!2010-06-28 22:20:00

On the PS3 in one of the story levels, Mm tied a balloon to a bubble and the bubble to the ground using string. As soon as sackboy popped the bubble, the balloon floated away!2010-06-28 22:21:00

Good solution.
Be cautious to put the dissolve material up top or somewhere where Sackman won't grab it by mistake.

I did end up using the emitter after all, I didn't realise you could actually grab the balloon! >.<' Thanks for all the suggestions though!2010-06-29 23:14:00
