I've been listening to japanesepod101.com for two years now. I don't get to practice a lot so I don't speak very well yet but it's more of a hobby/interest than anything I'm trying to learn right away. One fun thing to do is find someone on psn with a mic that you can practice with. I only have one friend I can speak with and since I'm not so good I bounce back and forth with English and Japanese when I talk with her. lol. | 2010-06-28 19:41:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

I can speak some japanese to a basic degree i guess, know some random words and may be able to hold a simplistic conversation with someone. I can only read Romaji right now, but still have little to no idea about Kanji... About anime manga, well.. my avatar and sig should tell you, no? | 2010-06-28 19:50:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I had started learning some Japanese with My Japanese Coach, but I lost track of where I was so I probably have to start over (I forgot some of the kana anyway). Eventually I want to be able to read and listen to Japanese so I can import games. Namely Macross Ace Frontier and the Tales of Phantasia PSP remake I recently learned about. | 2010-06-28 19:54:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

I've been studying the Japanese language for some time now as well. I was born in Japan, but left at a young age. I always wanted to return one day so I figured I'd start by re-learning the language. | 2010-06-28 21:44:00 Author: Laina Posts: 99 |
I want to live there, date a japanese girl and only eat japanese food. Heck, id compete in takeshi's castle, end up a foreighn student in a japanese b-rated hack and slash movie and probably stare with open mouth at every game convention. | 2010-06-30 22:05:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
I learned a little Japanese, basically everyday used words, when I went to Hokkaido 2 years ago :3 | 2010-07-01 23:37:00 Author: Unknown User |
Here are a couple of useful websites I use regularly. The first is an "easy" way to write out kana and kanji without needing to play around in charmap. Just type in what you want to write in romaji and copy the appropriate text (either hiragana, katakana or kanji). http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~danken/kanjidic.html The second is simply an online Japanese dictionary. Much more useful than trying to figure out the gibberish that babelfish "translates". http://jisho.org/ It accepts japanese characters and romaji, and you can also look for english words to find their equivalents. | 2010-07-02 01:05:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

Two words why i love Japan: KATAMARI DAMACY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sYc7RxV-bw I always get sad about the fact that the first katamari game was never released in europe... the two first were the best! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpFFzWPzA2c&feature=related | 2010-07-02 19:54:00 Author: kiwin Posts: 218 |
I had a 6-week course at school, but it finished last week. I learned greetings, numbers and telling people about yourself mostly. | 2010-07-02 22:01:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
