DLC and downloaded levels in the same menu?

Archive: 9 posts

One big problem I have with LBP1 is that levels downloaded as part of dlc, or those that some creators allow to be downloaded, are displayed in separate sections of the menu that are also cluttered up with other things.

For example, all DLC levels are in the LittleBIGStore menu, alongside all items in the store.

This is problematic when I let the younger members of my family play and choose levels. Some of them really like the DLC levels but it can be confusing to find them buried down under multiple levels of menus.

Likewise, as I play levels online, I do heart levels that I like and that I think would be fun for the young'ins to play. Unfortunately, getting to such hearted levels can be tedious.

Has there been any word of this being changed? I was thinking of some kind of master planet that includes both all the MM levels, DLC levels, and specifically tagged/hearted levels online. This way my little cousins could just explore that planet and play the good stuff that I approve, and avoid some of the scarier or darker in tone LBP levels.

In the "Store" section you can just search "My content" and it should show just what you have bought.

And if you go to your info moon and go to "My levels" (or "My stuff" or something like that, i forgot, where you see the level's you've published) and you pressed R1 it should show your hearted levels, you can also check your most recent levels by selecting yourself (the icon in the planet), once you select yourself, press R1 a couple of times, and you should see a list of your most recently hearted levels.

Hope that helps!

Read over what you just posted...

Now imagine a child trying to find those levels.

Also, you may be used to it, but I've come back to LBP after a long while and the current method just feels archaic. I already know how to find all that stuff, and it may be just a few extra key presses, but to be frank, it doesn't have to be, especially not in LBP2.

All you have to do is know how to get to the levels. I taught my little cousins (Ages 10, 6, and 5) how to do it and they navigated the system just fine.

Though, I must agree, there should be something on the main planet that lets you go through your hearted levels.

Ah little kids, yes true.
Well my best advice is what the guy above said, which is to try and teach them where all that stuff is.
Srry, that's the only thing i can think of to help you right now.

Well, this was more a suggestion to MM than a request for help. I was just pointing out a problem with LBP1's method for listing levels, especially so if they want to sell, and have people play, DLC levels.

But, thanks for helping anyway guys, glad to see the community so supportive.
