Scoreboard looks funky because I remove the base with dissolve, bring it forward a layer or 2 then put electrified/flaming 'ghost glass' behind it with a large spotlight set to shadows behind it preferably with a wobble bolt. Gives it a lovely animated feel. It is a great way to make an early 80's looking tv. best bit is you can walk behind it without triggering it. Probably common knowledge by now but I just figured it out by myself. Photos don't do it justice as it is a moving texture.. I recommend trying the level I made.
