For the release of LBP2, I'd like to make a level of George Orwell's 1984; it just depends on however many sackbots I can fit into the thermometer... For those of you who by some curse have never read the book, I have a link from wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four As I said, it depends how many sackbots I can fit into a level. You (the player) will obviously be Winston Smith (the main character) and you will basically go through the events of the book, though I may have to miss some out for fear of censorship or overheating. If possible, I will have muses latest album in the background, as pretty much all the songs are based on 1984 (United states of EURASIA, and there are ridiculously plagiarized plot lines and ideas from the book in both the resistance and uprising, as well as the mention of the thought police in the Resistance :0) I really loved that book, and I've been planning to make a level about it ever since... Also, this will be my first REAL level so any tips, advice, ETC. would be great! Tell me what you think

It's not going to be entirely cut-scene based is it? That could be neat, but I'd really love to see some interactivity with a 1984 setting.

I ABSOLUTELY love that book. However, I have no idea about how you could make it into a level, since the book itself hasnt got much action. But then again, I'm being very closeminded here; I believe that LBP2 will open possibilities for these kind of levels, it's just that I can't imagine exactly how yet. I guess it's now up to your skill to make me like this as the book! The big brother watches you.

i think it will make a Unequaled level, that will Benefit us all somehow, but i will leave all of my Fealty with you at the minute im trying to Conflate 2 levels, i cant wait, because my friend read that book a while back and said it was Really good

Just started reading, finished part 1. Seems like an interesting idea although I'm with Keldur, no idea how this could make a level. I wonder if they will allow us to age rate something, doubtful but it would be great if we could block something so only 18+ can play. If we can truly make cut scene levels then I would like to think we could make more mature themed things without fear of moderation down to content. I really like the setting of this so I'd be interested in seeing how you do that. Wouldn't want a level with insane amounts of text, somehow you'll have to find a balance between that and gameplay. Wandering the streets in top down perhaps. Unless you want it to just play out in front of the player.

Hmmm Idk... That's definitely an interesting idea I hadn't thought of.. though doesn't LBP2 support voice acting? ... Top down view walking through streets... that's a great idea! Though as I'm not actually over 18 myself, I don't think a block of younger players would work... As for not being a good level, I definitely don't intend it to follow the plot of the book exactly, I think maybe a build up of visual effects and wandering before being (nearly) captured by the thought police, and being chased through the streets of airstrip one...
