This level contains a complex logic system that will sense each and every one of your sack's footsteps to finally deduce your noob rating! Just check the Noob-O-Meter! The higher the thermo's liquid goes up, the noobier you must be!

Just kidding dude, but i wouldn't reccomend making a level insulting the player.

May i reccomend changing it from noob-o-meter to something that will flatter the player, like skill-o-meter for example, the better you lay the more "skillz" you got.

I'm just saying it may be better to make the player think he has skill, than to make him think he's "not noob"

I would rather be told you have little skills than you're a true noob.

If this is the level that i played yesterday then its awesome! i have no idea how it works but im glad that i didnt get that high up the thermo but gona play it again and act like a noob just for the sake i gave 5 :star:2010-06-26 08:36:00

Just finished playing it. Some of the traps in there were ingenius, like the oh so unassuming floor that launches you into the spikes, and has no real pattern. My Noob meter got filled only 1/3 of the way. so I guess I don't totally suck =D Anyways, I give it a 5 :star: and a <3 2010-06-26 16:29:00

Played it and my noob-o-meter was about 1/2 way up. I need to go get a better score.
Yeah but the part with the launching floor was really ******* me off, because I jumped over the red one and got killed by the gray one, so my thought process was "oh, the red one is probably safe" so I died again.

Quite cool actually, original platforming. The style of the level reminded me of all those sci-fi levels out there.

Also, are you a noob if the noob-o-meter is high or low? Because with me the noob-o-meter was very low. Not sure if that's good or bad...

I had a lot fun playing this. The design and gameplay were both very engaging. ASt the end,the noob-o-meter almost exploded. Is that good?2010-06-26 17:21:00

Hah! How'd I know this level would end up somewhere on Level Showcase?

Ok, first off, I don't find anything offensive in being called a "n00b" when there's evidence to back it up. The challenges themselves are average, something every sackperson should do with some sort of ease (the blue steps got me a few times, though... and the launching platforms). The details aren't amazing, but they suit the level well in it's spacey-challenge sorta way. The whole idea of being "tested" throughout the level gave the level purpose to play, which I like. The whole personality really echoed "Unfair Platformer" mixed with "Shoot! Jump! Die?", a sort of spacey-sarcastic platformer that can really get to your nerves at various points.

In all, I gave the level :star::star::star::star::star:- rating and tagged it "Brilliant". I hope to see more from you in the future!		2010-06-26 17:33:00

I posted a comment on your level about doing a trivia game sequel, but this isn't about that. If you do make a sequel that's another platformer, I think you should add a character that pops up and taunts you and makes fun of you the more you screw up. And still the hate comments keep comming!

The only thing that really annoyed me was the spiky roof sqishing platform part as there is no hint whatsoever of a trap. everything else seems fairly straight forward, and can be aced without much difficulty (need neon costume for electrified pillars tho)

Ohhh just played it, it was indeed pretty good one m8.
The first step in the first challenge was a bit off tho, it killed me even tho i laded it righ... :/

Anywho, apparetly i'm halfawy a noob.
Yet again, i did break the level and got out of boundries, so who's the noob now?

This was pretty good! I went into it expecting nothing more than a below-average level, but I was proved wrong... Haha! It was actually fun and I enjoyed it! I ended up at about 40% noob...

Like leon, the first blue step told me I messed up even though I didn't.

Overall pretty good. Fun and challenging!

Pretty much at the begining before the 1st challenge, when there's a ramp going down, its just a 2 layer ramp, i jumped into the wall, to switch to the back plane and went down to behind the ramp.
I reccomend making that ramp 3-layered or something.		2010-06-28 03:47:00

First challenge was the only really hard one, and the only one that blatantly called me a noob. I don't feel too insulted by a "stand on this tiny thing" jumping challenge, tho...

Pretty neat stage overall, some clever obstacle combinations and such kept it interesting throughout.		2010-06-28 10:16:00

I tried the level and here's what I think.

Positives
------------
1. A nice amount of gameplay to test your noobiness
2. An acurate noob-o-meter

Negatives
-------------
1. When there are red and grey platforms that are traps, I feel it isn't tested on skill but more on a lucky guess which isn't very fair.

This was an interesting level. Fairly straight forward, with lots of little gadgets and gizmos to make things look nice. The thermometer in itself deserves mention simply for being awesome.

as far as gameplay, its a straight up obstacle course, with its own little quirks. Like the fact that it is, you know, JUDGING YOU:eek: The challenges are varied and none of them are overly complex (though the fact that I'm so slow at a couple irritates me to no end) so its pretty well balanced.

The only issue that I came across in the level (first try especially) was the tendency for sackboy to not auto switch planes in a couple of areas that i don't really think were supposed to be challenges (the red switch in the video is the main one) But that's probably just a quirk on my end.

Also, the spaceship trip seems a tad long....but that's all the bad i can really squeeze out of the level.

No real complaints then, and a solid, fun level. :star::star::star::star: for the level and a <3 for the creator due to the enjoyability of the levels created so far. and cause i forgot to do it earlier.		2010-07-09 13:27:00

Thank you so much for that honest, awesome review and the video you captured! I know the level had a few technical quirks here and there, but it's still only my 3rd level...
