score bubble painting and static score bubbles

Archive: 3 posts

I'm a relatively new creator, playing around with ideas. I noticed some of the more uber creators out there have managed to create special score bubbles with different colours or smiley faces and whatnot. How do you do that? Also, I can never figure out how to keep score bubbles in the same place. They're always rolling around!2010-06-25 07:56:00

To keep the bubbles together you glue them to either each other, the floor, or invisible spots of thin dark matter.
To glue, you press and hold the X button while selecting an object and holding it close to, or infront another.
To make invisible spots of dark matter just make a triangular shape (better for thermo the less corners it has) and shrink them as much as possible and it should turn invisible at one point.

Now to make "speciall bubbles" there are many ways.
You can simplay attatch stickers, but that won't do much, you can place decorations in them, but unless placed right, they might just not look good. what you do is you make a thin piece of dissolve material, and make the decoration of you wanna d for the bubble, then attatch a key switch to the bubble, and another to the thin piece of material (the decoration), and attatch a key of the corresponding color to the decoration, wire the key to the decoration and glue the decoration to the bubble, and presto, your bubbles will lok like what you wanted (if hiddend properly) and will dissapear after being collected along with the material!

Hope that helps!

Hey new comer, ill put this in the least detailed way because im totally sleepy its like 3 am. To decorate the bubbles, just sticker them! If you make your own sticker, make the bubble bigger and sticker the bubble then shrink it down. Also depends on the situation your bubbles are in, if their touching the floor, glue them to the floor (hold X till you hear a smooshy sound) if they float in the air, attach a rod to the bubble, and the other end on a floor or panel next to it. Set it to stiff (by going to the options by pressing square) and set it to invisible. If you havent already, play the LBP create tutorials they help a lot. I hope I answered your question good enough see ya around on LBPC!
