I'm this close *pinches fingers together* to making a fully functioning TD game on LBP. If I had the Movers from LBP2 it would be done by now. So yes it is definitely possible. Looks like there's going to be a lot of competition between TD games around.2010-07-29 10:12:00

I would love to see tower defence games in LBP2 with all kinds of monsters and forts and upgrading and even different themes. Good luck, can't wait to try it out when it's done and when LBP2's out.2010-07-29 22:30:00

Actually i've seen a few tower defence games in LBP1, granted they were not the "best" games out there, but considering what they have, it was really good.

So yeah, it should be quite possible to do in LBP2 m8.

Entirely possible. You just need a cursor, a side HUD, and a **** load of emitters hahaha. I can really see some cool stuff coming out of Tower Defense games. For instance, once someone gets a good formula down with all the logic and objects, making new levels is simply a matter of drag and drop new stuff. Also, handing out your tools so that other people can make some too would be nice.

The hardest part is going to be the enemies. Making them follow a path and then possible turning around at the end if they have to bring something back (the object of a few tower defense games, however most just resort to "kill him before he gets past the end"). Not sure how we'd do that, although i suppose you could always put sackbots in the enemies (as in INSIDE of them with a DCS) and then program them somehow to do what you want.

Well for the enemies i was thinking and i could just make the enemies however i want them to look like then put a direct control seat on it and then make a sackbot ride it because i believe we can record what we want the sackbots to do i think.2010-07-30 14:56:00
