Woodland Ordeals [HARD]Jirugameshi
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=18447[/url]Some forests have never been tamed. Can you overcome the grueling challenges waiting within?
I've decided to make yet another extreme platforming level, because I'm devious like that.
This level may be even more difficult than Araneae's Maze, and it's certainly much more expansive and varied. Once again you will face a series of challenges which will seem impossible, and where you will die countless times until you finally get it right.

This level is not for everyone. If you get easily discouraged, annoyed or frustrated by failure, you will not enjoy this level.

However, if you enjoy levels that challenge your ability to jump, grab and ceiling hop precisely, I hope you'll give this level a try. I've tried to come up with some original challenges that are still tricky.

Thanks for the feedback!

It probably IS harder than Roller INC, but in a different way. Most of the challenges in this level are about jump control, being able to jump precisely and quickly. There are also a couple of parts requiring control of your position while hanging from a winch and from a jetpack.

I've tried to keep the challenges relatively short and varied, but they should all still be pretty tough and fair.

Challenge-wise, this level owns Roller Inc big time.
(Roller inc would be considered low difficulty, this would be more like medium for the style of traps it has on it)

This requires a lot of precision movements.

You've been hanging out too much with stilletos, you know?

Still, good level, grat for re-installing me into LBP after my RDR break, i found some problems in the hanging plants area, but i already told you about that.
Other than that, really good level m8, 4/5 + H

Cool, glad to see you made it through despite running into some trouble with the hanging part. I fixed what was causing the breaking (ironically, it was caused by a fix I put in to stop another kind of breakage that occurred there. LBP doesn't like hanging balls on winches in a spike maze it seems ).

I find that I actually enjoy making these types of challenging levels. In a way it's the antithesis of my mechs, where you have to ignore the platforming controls of LBP in favor of custom controls for the mech. Here you actually need to have perfect (or at least better than average) control of the platforming elements just to get through. I blame my extensive Megaman experience.

I just played and let me tell you if was hard I was also playing Dark water chapter 1 and I though that was a hard level but yours

It was incredibly Hard at some point I felt like I want to quite but I keep going and I just died so many times. I like to play hard levels but yours is incredibly difficult but there are some parts that are easy. Also I think you should create a nice background for your level because it looks plain it looks like a cake with no frosting. The obstacle and the music of the level were nice it game that nice tough to it.

I gave this level a :star::star::star::star: If you could create a nice background then I will give it a 5:star:

It was very challenging. i couldn't even get past part 1. I don't really want to give a bad review because I didn't get through it but I don't want to give a good review because I don't even know the rest. I will say it's very tough though and it seems the feedback others give is positive so I'm sure it's a great level.2010-06-29 04:54:00

Do you mean the part at the start? What you need to do is give a small jump (just tapping the X button) immediately after landing on the platforms to keep them from sinking into the gas. Generally just one or two small jumps should be enough to make a platform stable again so you can stand on it safely.

I've been trying the part with the electric beetles on the branches for the past hour now, lol. I've managed to get through the first cluster every once in a while, but the two diagonal ones leading up to the flaming branch are killer :<

any tips with those two?

Well, that part is very tricky (in fact it turned out much trickier than I initially intended).

The thing to remember is that Sackboy gets much more easily shocked from the feet than from the head (since he tucks his head in when close to hazards), so you want to be mostly mindful that his feet don't come into contact with the electricity. Move slowly and adjust your movement a bit along the way if needed. Also be careful that the helper bug is not moving around too much when you pass through, otherwise you might get nudged at the wrong time.
