Tile-Based (Frogger) Gameplay

I'm thinking of making a game based off of the Frogger series and also off of Zapper: One Wicked Cricket. Both involve the player to control an insect, moving around a tiled world. The games both limit the player to "hop" in only four directions(left, up, down, right), and allow them to "super hop", making the player jump over one space, landing on the next one.
