I was trying to ace the Great Magician's Palace and I had just nearly made it to the end. I got to the part where the Great Magician is lifting the box making different shapes appear, and it crushed me. So there went my aced level prize. I went back and aced it, though.		2010-06-21 16:27:00

Same thing happened to me, when he I defeated him and he exploded one tiny flaming piece hit me... I was so mad, it had taken me forever to beat him without dieing...

I was on Serpent Shrine, and had just beaten Zapata, and his flaming leg comes flying at me, and kills me D=

On the Bunker, i had just got past the last hazard in the giant wheel of death, but i didn't make it in time, and i missed the hole i was supposed to jump into :C

Also, i was playing the Terrible Oni level, and his sword got stuck between the bridge Thinking it was impossible to reach the other side, i still tried. I jumped on the dull side of the sword, and the sword gets pulled back, and ends up making me fall off the bridge ;___;		2010-06-22 20:08:00

I was making a level with 2 other people, I was just done polishing the entire level with the corner editor, when one of the other guys destroyed a part of the level and the rewind function randomly stopped working D:

Also, I was trying to ace a the first level in the Temples, when my friend asked to join the game, making me unable to move. I was riding on a moving platform, so I hit an obstacle and died.		2010-06-27 11:37:00

Half way through a jump, somebody sent me an invite...

when you get an ivite, the game does not pause and you cant controll sackboy...

While trying to complete the bunker with and for some friends, (they asked me to clear the wheel because I'm good at that). Anyways, I cleared it, but they had obviously got bored and put their controllers down, so I couldn't go of screen, and the conveyer belt kept pulling them into the electricity and killing them. Needless to say it was the last time I helped THEM out!!

Also, at the end of the bunker level, a different friend was the only one left alive, and he accidentally held the retry button for too long while he was right next to the scoreboard in an attempt to show off / scare me.		2010-06-27 17:43:00

I was playing Roller Inc (or whatever the name was, by whoever) A really difficult (But amazing) level mentioned in community spotlight... And as I got half way through, I had to go get the phone, so I paused it and told my little brother to tell my even littler brother to not touch the controller.

I came back to the older one spewing up excuses for why he didn't / couldn't stop the 3 year old from restarting the whole level -_-"

If I weren't a nice and gentle person, I would have killed him!

This isn't story mode, but... me and my friend were playing community LBP levels for the first time, and we found a level where you have to save a horse who has broken legs and take it to a hospital or something.

Well not really that kind of moment but funny anyway...

I was pretty far into my ace run on the serpent shrine. Just before the jump to Zapata. The Sponge- winch had gone up and I was running to jump in time across... I jumped, seemed like it was going to be just too short. Then the jade serpent hurled towards me, I got the "ouch!" from the fire and it pushed me just far enough to reach the swing 		2010-06-29 10:58:00

First off I got the spinning wheel of death glitch, after I 100%d story mode.

So i started again and my data corrupted.

Most of my crushing moments happened within the first few months of 2009...when the game was still pretty fresh...

Two words:
UNSAVED PROFILE

five times...over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over again...

It resorted to me making a couple "anger threads" and is exactly the reason why I have barely any published levels...Having to rebuild several levels again takes time and crushes your spirit...		2010-07-07 06:05:00

We have two PS3s. The newest one is in our bedroom (as it should be ) If any of you have two PS3s you'll know it can get really tricky keeping track of updating and transferring your profile data from one to the other. Anyhow, I was on the new ps3 building something complex for a friend's level. It took me HOURS of stress and neglecting my family and household responsibilities, but I got it done and just needed to add it to what I'd done already that was on the other PS3 which was more up to date than this one. I couldn't transfer it over without losing everything I'd already done on the other PS3 (plus no internet connection in the bedroom which would at least allow me to publish it with a lock).
Serves me right, really, for being a knucklehead and not updating my profile data first

Why didn't you back up the level? Press square on the level then back it up onto a memory stick? That way you can transfer it over without losing any data.		2010-07-17 13:13:00

The bunker was pretty enfuriating. I don't even know how many times I tried to ace it. it was horrible. My motto is: "Any game that doesn't at some point leave you in desperation from hitting that replay button isn't a complete game"

BUT...and it's a big but.... I've had 10+ unsaved data's , 5 corrupted data's and I always die on ace try levels in really noob-ish ways like accidentally walking too far and falling into a hazard , running in front of an enemy and jumping in front of a moving hazard just to get the level over with quickly.

i got loads of those moments... in real life aswell, but these is the most annoying.
i was about to get 100% on the game rayman 2 great escape, i couldn't save cus the cd had been
damaged to many times, and when i comleted a old level i had about 98% done, so i took a pause and put back my computer, when i came back and saw that the power cable was... loose... so then i had to restart the game.

another one is when i was working with gamemaker, i had made sume fancy pixel animations and sprites when the cable once more popped out...

and there was this time when i made my homework, quess what...? my neighbours dog ate it.... it's... it's... impossible! dogs wouldn't eat paper! what makes it's most annoying is that it's the oldest exuse why you didn't do your homework.

and last, once my work on lbp was deleted cus i accedently tapped "discard changes"

My save file was wiped... twice. I got a new hard drive for my PS3 and my friend improperly installed it, so my hard drive was wiped. Then my PS3 got the YLOD... and it was replaced. I fully aced the game each time too. It wasn't until the third time around that I got 100% prizes and got the platinum trophy.2010-07-31 02:34:00

got round to finishing a masivly great lv but the day i was going to publish it my game froze. i almost broke my contorler because i threw it on the floor.
my games alright now but my lv was corrupted and wouldent work, now im worryed the dent in my controler will oneday open wide enough and the controler might break.....

something horrible happened to me as well, similar to snail's mishap over there ^, I remember as if it were yesterday... but in fact it was two days before that.

I've had LBP since the day it came out and had yet to create a level. So, I had planned to put together some random contraptions, throw in a few score bubbles, and call it a day. Though, since it was my first time creating, I was instantly mesmerized by the tools and flexibility of it all. Twas a stormy night, and I was still working non-stop on my soon-to-be first LBP level, and it was looking bloody good so far. All of a sudden, the power cut out, and then it came back on after a few seconds. I was shocked and quickly turned on my ps3 and found that my level was nowhere to be found..

and so from that day forward, I had never really summed up the effort of re-making that level on LBP :l		2010-08-07 02:37:00

Well I didn't say it but I guaranteed my friend did. So I joined him and he was about an hour into his level, without him looking I saved the part he made in my popit and then used my ULTIMATE TOOL OF DESTRUCTION, The magic mouth, I set a magic mouth to appear saying "" every .5 seconds with a emitter and a key switch so everyone in create mode saw it. You couldn't pause, you couldn't undo, you couldn't move... you were trapped.

So he started sending messages to me with many profanities in and then I joined him again and gave him his level back 		2010-08-07 15:17:00

oh! oh! i have one! well huntedstorm, YEAH_NAH and I were making level (well mainly huntedstorm, but anywho). he accidentally went to the pod(and you can see where this is going) and he forgot to save it. But huntedstorm mind is an imaginative storm, so he has had an idea for a new and improved level with almost nothing to do with the original(a tower climb).2010-08-20 08:13:00

Call it cliche, but I was on the bunker, and I had just made it past the Wheel of Death, and then was on the conveyor belt, and then I made it to the scoreboard, and I aced the level on my second try.

Oh... Wait...

On "The Collectors Lair", I was on the 2nd droppy grab winch part, and I just lowered myself straight into the electric thing without even realizing what I was doing...

For some reason i can't seem to ace the level Endurance Dojo in the Island Levels. I never seem to get across those thin beams that lean when you jump/walk across them. Everytime i get past the first two sets of leaning beam things i always die on the next set later on in the level. Other levels i try to ace i just die at random points but that Endurance level is a pee take for me.

I save everytime I change anything and like it...I got into that habit when I was creating a website for a small business; I spent a better part of the afternoon entering a list of their services offered and prices, got up to go get a cup of coffee and when i returned, my kitten was doing a jig on the keyboard. During the creation of Invasion of the Sack Men From Space, I spent the better part of a day creating a small platforming/shooting section in front of a restaurant, right behind the hardware store. I made it look all nice and finished it off with score bubbles and called it a day. I was tired, so I forgot to save.

Needless to say, the next day I had that moment. I almost scrapped the whole level over it, but instead lovingly recreated everything I'd made the day before, but better. Im not sure that sucks as much as some of the other things that happened to others, i was playing the bunker, and i was just about to ace it, then the cord for my controller dissconected, and i was killed by the last danger in the whole level, and it actually wasnt hard once i got used to it.2010-08-31 16:24:00

I can see a lot of people had difficulties in the Bunker; mine was worse ):

I had a european version of LBP when I lived overseas and I completed the game %100 with a two levels I really liked and one I was working very hard on.

As soon as I came to the states I noticed I couldn't buy any DLC online which vexed me soooooo much because at the time the paintinator mod came out.

So... I went over the nearest gamestop, got an NTSC copy and realized that my PAL save didn't carry on to my new game.

When the game freezes randomly whilst rewinding in create, which loses all the stuff (for some reason, including what had been saved) that session.

i was trying to ace the boss battle against zapata in the those mexican levels and i thew the last bomb back at him and blew him to pieces and i was like WOOOO!!! Mine? ok I was deleting some corrupted PShome data when the PS3 froze and reset and it asked me if I wanted it to restore my data because it corrupted at the time I didn't know what corruption was so phoned sony... I was trying to ace The Bunker, got past the Wheel of Death for the first time, took me SO MANY TRIES, and I jumped down and the conveyor belt sent me straight into and electric light...

Also, in trying to ace Oni's volcano, I got the cat to the blow him up, except he only blew up his head because Oni's fire hit the switch, which pushed the cat back, so now just his head was blown up, but the battle kept going. I jumped forward saying YES because I thought I defeated him, but since the key on the cat was pushed back out of range the fire continued going and I was like "wut?", and I accidently fell on the fire and died while I was looking up at his non-existent head.

I spent an hour creating in the LBP2 beta, and suddenly got a message asking if I wanted to play black ops. I wanted to tell my friend that I didn't have it, but apparently clicking reply doesn't mean reply anymore. It means "quit the current game without saving anything, just to tell me that black ops isn't in the PS3.

That suck but I had a similiar problem when I killed the the second robot but as my sackboy was coming down he didin't switch layers! Another time, after the collector came out I happend to land on him and I think I got burned or pushed into the electricity! Ha ha! I've done something like that. At the end of the Serpent Shrines, just after I'd defeated Zepata, I died on a tiny piece of fire left over from when he exploded. It took me ages to ace it.

Serpent Shrine is the most evil level in all of Story Mode. I swear it's true.

I was on the last level I needed to ace to get the "10 levels aced in a row" trophy. I was on that Larry Da Vinci level where we are shot by a cannon, and in that part those cardboard boxes on the far end of the flight somehow bugged out and "deflected" be backwards. I really got to hate the Sensei's Lost Castle level, because of the stupid spinning wheels and the time it took to get through it, only to die because some fat sumo guy didn't want you to survive. I actually found it even more frustrating than The Bunker.

Another excruciating level that brought about the same feeling when acing was Boom Town. Seriously, the attempts it took to not get blown up by the bombs you have to carry around. Especially the part where you need to get through three kinda moving pillars that go up and down WAAAY too fast to appropriately carry the explosives. And of course, the Wheel of Death from the Bunker was also a real ****** to ace. But hey, hang in there, and one day, you'll get that rewarding pling sound for acing all LittleBigplanet levels. It makes you feel really good as a player and especially when you've put a lot of effort into the acing, it's very satisfying. 		2011-07-07 17:19:00

I was about to the 10th ace level in row trophy on the very first level in DaVinci's hideout (the easiest level on the whole game) and I got to the part where there are 5 prize bubbles you have to use jump pads to bounce across to the other side. Just as I got the last bubble and was about to clear the board, that stupid arrow sign dropped on my head as I was bouncing up and it killed me. Lets see here... I always back up my profile. I back it up everyday. I got my profile corrupted one day. I told my bro to press import profile and reload an old one. He pressed Back up profile, and OVERWROTE my last back up. So, I had to go with a two day old back up, which did not have my level that I started on it. Also, I was working on a level, it FROZE.
