Block Industrycrazu00
Now you're thinking blocks.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af324/crazu00/Little%20Big%20Planet/Little%20Big%20Planet/Valokuva-1.jpgView of the industry.
Player finds her/himself falling to a block industry's yard, being tester for their product. What you don't know they are testing you, and want your brain! ..or so they think.
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af324/crazu00/Little%20Big%20Planet/Little%20Big%20Planet/Valokuva_1-1.jpg "We want you, to play this level, no not you.. the other guy behind you!"

Find your way through many obstacles including lots of blocks to deal with around. Put block here and there and you get further..
This level takes some time and patience, but give it a chance. 1 player recommended, because of the teleports.. if playing multi-player get inside the teleport same time and it might work..
http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af324/crazu00/Little%20Big%20Planet/Little%20Big%20Planet/Valokuva_4-1.jpg Your first puzzle, ugh. Well.. it gets harder.
Tip: While jumping on the block jump up and while in the air try to land where you want, so the blocks wouldn't slip under you so easily.
I found idea to make this when I got little feedback from my other level block mania (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=28178-Block-Mania), that's really raw version of what I did months back. And I continued with the idea and evolve it. I had been making this level for few weeks now and got all the time new great ideas for it and it just went so big that I might do a sequel some day. And thanks for my sister to test my level many many times before publishing.

Update 21.06.2010 Changed the lift going from training area to earthquakes destroyed place with a sponge. And changed speech of first met person's spelling. And changed color of heavy block to reddish.
Update 22.06.2010 Fixed that sponge, it were missing the chain, sorry about that, I was fixing other stuff after that and it somehow disappeared. Now it should work, I've tested that level all the way through.
Update 23.06.2010 Added tips for jumping, changed 'R' and '1'-stickers to 'R1'-sticker and named all prize-bubbles.

Wow, I really enjoyed that, it's great puzzler with some really cool ideas! I also like the way you added a little bit of a story to it, not much, but the way it's actually got a setting, most puzzlers would just be in a room, and you'd have no idea where you are...

However, I think the blue metal blocks should be another colour (like maybe red) because it's an entirely different type of block to the grabable blue blocks. I also think you should probably go to "First Steps" (Story level) and get the R1 sticker from the block there.

Also, at the part which is a little unfinished due to earthquakes, I activated the lift to go back up (as I'd previously gone back down to check if there was anything down there) and jumped out straight away, so the lift went up without me, I got stuck. I didn't finish the level because of this and I'd gotten to far through the level to want to restart...

Also good English is always nice, the first person you meet inside didn't make much sense... "Hi, did you come here for the job interview?" rather than "Hi, Did you came here too for job-interview?"

I also like the humour!

Oh! you managed to tangle that elevator I'm sorry you didn't finish it. Even though I put the there few switches and stuff to make the elevator work as simple.. but well I need to deal that if I can manage the thermometer somehow, maybe put just a simple sponge there, would be the best.
And I'm not the best one on English language, my home language is Finnish.
I maybe have the R1 sticker, but at the moment I made those blocks I didn't find it somehow.
EDIT: I updated it with sponge now and spellings corrected.

I really liked it. The different colored blocks with different properties and the whole concept of a company that produces blocks was pretty cool. It was really hard to keep the blocks from slipping out from under me, which was annoying. I got stuck at the part with the pink arrow pointing up and the ball that has an arrrow on it. I couldn't figure out what to do. I tried moving the ball around, making the arrow point up, everything. I got too frustrated and quit. I don't know whether it was a bug or just error on my part.

Anyway, I gave it :star::star::star::star:

There's a way to jump on them, jump up and while you're in the air try to land where you want.. It was little hard to keep them stay put, but I have used to it.. If you do it a lot.. That's why I used heavier blocks for longer jumps..

Yeah well, there was problem fixing that because I was fixing it with a chain going up and then fixed something else and that usually happens when there's lots of stuff together :/ it removes ropes and pistons and at this time that chain.. I played it yesterday and fixed that and played again all the way through.. so It should work now.

Yea, I really should do that!

I didn't found any prize bubble there that would have the R1 sticker only blocks that have it on them, do I need to get it by taking a picture or something? because I've aced all of garden and I don't have any R1 sticker, checked and double checked. Or maybe you get that sticker later in the game..

Well, first impression is that your teleporter can break the level. I had jumped in when my treasure hunter instinct kicked in and I attempted to get off the button to explore for a moment. I couldn't have been in there for half a second, but I was still killed. Instead of going to what I assume to be the Next Place, I spawned out of the Opening Checkpoint and ended up having to restart because I couldn't go back down the elevator shaft without the elevator.

The part where you have to stack blocks and put them behind the corresponding colored glass is extremely annoying. Everything is based on grabbing, which makes it too easy to grab the emitters switches on the floor. This presents a problem and can force me to start completely over if I make mistakes that are far too easy to make.

Then, the lift breaks. I think your logic may be screwy there. I wasn't able to complete the puzzle, and would have been forced to start over, if I wasn't so tired.

Up until then, it was a very pleasing level, with plenty of whimsical action and visuals.

I'll check it out what I can do.. maybe change little the way teleports activate..

Yeah it was little annoying to me too, maybe I should put the emitter switches little bit back and behind glass or something.. I'll try that, if my thermometer allows.

How did the lift break? maybe some of your older block were vanished and it made the puzzle fail and lift goes back up.. Maybe I should change it so that the lift stays down after doing the puzzle.

I also updated the level with tips, added names on prize-bubbles and changed the R- and 1-sticker to R1-sticker today.

This was a really good level, despite some grievences I'll adress in a moment. The visuals, did there job, nothing stood out to me personally, and the cutouts of the characters were well done. Gameplay wise was a bit different, it was hit or miss. This was a really great concept you had, you really expanded on that one Temple section in the story mode, and it had almost a portal-esque feel. I like how you gave different colored block different properties, but some parts were way too hard, and without any direction, it was more infurating that fun. Now in a puzzle oriented level like this it might be ok to spend a little bit longer on some parts and have a bit of brain usage, but something you need to be careful of is that you don't make levels too hard, because people will lose interest, and personally I feel that is what you have done here. (Examples: The third puzzle, and the second pink block puzzle.) I was really relieved to find some platforming sprinkled into the level, it was well done. Last think I want to mention gameplay-wise is that during the pink blocks, and all blocks for that matter, were hard to get exactly where you wanted, and were very frustrating.

I liked the story (I'd like to point out however, you had numerous grammatical errors, which I greatly dislike), and there were some intriguing bits of RPG like, gameplay, which I found a bit weird but not out of place, and were well utilized.

You had some design choices I'd like to question however. Is there a particular reason you made the player wait, outside in the lobby for 30 seconds? Was something loading/ setting up during that time? Also, I found the teleporters to be a bit unnecessary, and I didn't really feel like they had a purpose other than to be cool (which they were, I had no problems with them) they could have saved you a bit of thermo however if you would have gotten rid of them, even though they did pace the level well.

Overall, a real good level :star::star::star:

Just one last suggestion however- When you require stickers to be utilized in the level, make sure you let the player know so that they can turn on their "community prizes" setting. If they don't have it on, they won't collect the sticker, and then they will be unable to complete the level.

When you get the chance, please F4F the level in my signature.

I got lots of ideas that I used, and that's why I made so many puzzles, but they may have that little frustrating feel if you don't know what to do or how to do it, and sometimes they are hard.. Mostly I think that the blocks are so light(except the reddish one) that they keep moving so easily, I know it's a problem and I should make them little heavier somehow. But able to be touched and vanished at the same time, or does it really need that? Vanishing is one challenge there, but maybe its too much when there's other problems to solve? So I might change them heavier, but it also changes puzzles..

I liked the story (I'd like to point out however, you had numerous grammatical errors, which I greatly dislike)
Yeah I'm not the best one in grammatic in English, I admit, maybe if someone could help with that. I'll try to correct em if I can..

Is there a particular reason you made the player wait, outside in the lobby for 30 seconds? Was something loading/ setting up during that time?
30seconds? It was about 60 seconds I putted there, good still it didn't feel so much.. No, there wasn't really happening any loading, I wanted people to look and try stuff at the lobby: there's beverage/candy machine that gives bubbles and the other girl says that you can't go before you have the pass, and the janitor, I wanted player to feel little of that waiting you usually have at some places like hospital, pharmacy or such..

I found the teleporters to be a bit unnecessary, and I didn't really feel like they had a purpose other than to be cool (which they were, I had no problems with them) they could have saved you a bit of thermo however if you would have gotten rid of them, even though they did pace the level well.
I could get rid some of the teleporters and put the puzzles in line, but I felt it gave some rhythm and feel of changing places. But I could maybe remove some of them.. I'm really now making little bit bigger changes on the level, like teleports and places where the rooms are..

When you require stickers to be utilized in the level, make sure you let the player know so that they can turn on their "community prizes" setting. If they don't have it on, they won't collect the sticker, and then they will be unable to complete the level.
I didn't know you could shut that option off, I'll add notice on the level description soon as possible.

I played your level and I really liked it. Some puzzles even made me think for a minute so you did a good job with that. The look is really cool and I felt like in a fabric but those are the things I noticed:
-Two of the blocks at the beginning with the R1 stickers on it don't do anything when you grab them.
-Tables and chairs could be a bit more detailed.
-You wrote Lego with two E's. Did you do that on purpose?
-The instructions should be rereadable (the red block you have to grab in the beginning didn't work).
-The crane design should be a bit more interesting because it's ugly.
-Many typos and all that.
-Some teleporter doors don't close entirely.
-The light blocks can be a real pain in the *** sometimes you should make them a bit heavier.

I gave you 4 stars for it.

Yeah, its suppose to be LEEGO not lego, also BARBEE is like Bar-Bee or Barbie.
-Some teleporter doors don't close entirely.
Yeah their pain in the *** too, everytime working on those..

All the bugs, I'll fix them when I have the time..
