Last 6 months?

Archive: 6 posts

Hey there -

Last year I spent a lot of time with LBP cranking out a few levels. At the last part of the year I got a new job in a new state and had to move...I put LBP in it's case and haven't touched it since. That is until I saw a video for LBP2 last week which pulled me back in. I'm working on the third level in my series now and I would like to know - what have I missed? Can you guys help catch me up to speed with any new info, new glitches, and the best levels (so I know where the bar is set) so far this year? I would appreciate it.

As far as this final level in the series, I'm definitely going to make it worth the wait! Trying something that I don't think has been done before...we'll see how it turns out.

Well be sure to check the official site (Little Big Planet.com) for downloadable content. There are quite a number of costume packs that come with stickers, as well as the Incredibles pack that came with objects, decorations and materials.

I'm not too sure about glitches and good levels...

Well, the things that have changed the way I create the most in the last six months are the ability to make larger invisible materials (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=17759-Creating-Editable-Invisible-Material-In-Seconds) (not just super thin lines of dark matter or rubber), the discovery of a new way to make theck and thack layers (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=26490-Theck-amp-Thack-Sublayer-Guide) (since the old method was patched), I LOVE the compression tool (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=24434-Merging-Objects-or-Materials-aka-Compression-Tool), Aya's thermo hacks (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=23674-How-To-Cheat-The-Thermo#post410607) (be sure to check his sig for his other thermo hack thread), and especially Rtm's logic blogs (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/blog.php?4150-rtm223). Oh, and be sure to check out all the hidden materials and stickers and stuff (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=23748-The-Complete-Guide-to-Secret-Materials-and-Stickers).

As for the best levels, I'll leave that to other people: I don't spend nearly as much time playing lbp as I do creating in it. I'd say the best level in the last six months is one called "The Most Advanced Mech in LBP: VT-5 Lightning (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=27374-Most-Advanced-Bipedal-Mech-in-LBP-VT-5-Lightning)," by this guy named Sehven.*

*Ok, it's nowhere near the best level in the last six months, but I can never resist plugging it.
