LBP2 preview

Archive: 7 posts

Hullo,

I wrote a preview of LittleBigPlanet 2 based on my time with it during the Community GameJam.
You can read it on Littlebigland (http://www.littlebigland.com/exclusive-hands-on-with-lbp-2/).

Great Preview! sheesh all this excitement cant be good for my little head, it might asplode!

I'ts hard to pick out a favorite thing so far but i think that all this new switch-o-rama is going to result in some pretty awesome levels.

Thanks Syroc. That was an interesting read and it sounds as awesome as I was expecting, if not more so. I can't wait to get hands on with it now.

By the way with regards to the post-it notes you mentioned do you know exactly how they work. By that I mean how do we actually 'write' on them ? Do you have to attach a magic mouth or is it via a graphics tablet or something similar. I hope it's not the latter because I don't have a graphics tablet and have never even seen one in the flesh.

We know a lot more about the game and its new features now ! :hero:

About the camera, you said it's possible to set it behind the player. So we'll be able to make levels playable from behind with a real depth of field ? This sounds crazy !

I'm not 100% sure on having depth of field with standard cameras (you have that option with cutscene cameras), but you can rotate the camera so that it is slightly to the right of the player (or above him, depending on what sort of level it is you are planing.2010-06-16 12:30:00
