Source: http://www.egmnow.com/egmi/238-4/ Release Date: 19th May 2010_ Speculation Object 1_ Illuminant Stickers/ Glow in the Dark Stickers http://i47.tinypic.com/314xo3n.jpg It looks to me that on page 22 of the Magazine in the first picture. With the sackbots dancing on the dance floor. It looks like the stickers are illuminant. They defiantly look a lot brighter than the stickers in LBP1. I highly doubt these are lights that they are on because, Well, There not producing much light. Also it looks as if the stickers have been slapped on a piece of, what looks like dissolve material. The current colors that we can see in this picture are; Blue, Yellow and Pink. I'm sure there will be more. And I'm hopping that these are Bright (Illuminant) / Glow in the dark and Im sure you are too Speculation Object 2_ Some sort of Battery http://i48.tinypic.com/25yw4ty.jpg Now on page 22 again in the second picture (Click the right arrow in the middlish of the page) There looks like there is some sort of battery. Now I really have absolutely no clue what so ever what this could be used for. I'm guessing its something to do with the circuit board behind it but it might not. It could be used as like a timer so that say a light could slowly run out of battery as you move through the level but I'm not sure. Tell me what you think. I don't know it might not even be a batter Speculation Object 3_ Place objects on the side of objects http://i50.tinypic.com/2m3p9vc.jpg Ok, I'm not sure if this has been confirmed or discussed yet but on page 22 once again in the third picture. There is a Traffic Light. But if you look at it closely you will notice that the lights are placed on the side of the material. Not much to say on this point but. Yeah, you will be able to place objects on the sides of materials. If any new screens shots appear I will change this thread to, "Analysis of ScreenShots" And I will definitely ad the E3 Screenshots so keep an eye on this thread. Nice, but you can already put objects on the side of materials. Just glue them together?? | 2010-06-12 21:01:00 Author: Jonaolst Posts: 935 |
I think he means actually turn them to face the side, not the front. Sort of like what decorations (and stickers) do. | 2010-06-12 21:14:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |
Or it could just be like the spotlight in LBP1? | 2010-06-12 21:21:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
Here's a quote from EDGE magazine during an interview with the MM team concerning lighting: Though levels will feature global lighting controls, the new engine also allows you to put filters over specific areas, including X-ray and outline effects I'm guessing this is just material which have filters on them to make them stand out. And as for the battery, it's probably just a decorative object or decoration. Sorry to burst your bubble - but if you're right, you can gloat to me about it! | 2010-06-12 22:00:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |

Probably but i thaight I'd just add it since I saw it but yah, Or it could just be like the spotlight in LBP1? Could be since they are a new type of light. They weren't in LBP1 they remind ne of this little lego things. I think they look at little similar. P.S loving the levels | 2010-06-12 22:24:00 Author: Unknown User |
Also if i remember from the video, those lights keep switching from square to square, so its not stickers, but objects that light up. Hey at least that means objects that can light up. (That or square lights..) | 2010-06-12 22:51:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

(That or square lights..) Yeah well as stupid as that may sound you are probably right. Because they really don't look like a light. If they are they have turned the radius right down. | 2010-06-12 22:59:00 Author: Unknown User |
Though levels will feature global lighting controls, the new engine also allows you to put filters over specific areas, including X-ray and outline effects THIS is what makes the things light up. | 2010-06-12 23:23:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
There's a thread where they talk about the Lightning Material (they're NOT stickers in that case!), but as has been said, they could be just lightning Objects in brick shape. For the traffic lights: if the lights ARE in side-view (being turned 90 degs ALWAYS, not just for the case). Check. Things. | 2010-06-13 08:07:00 Author: Unknown User |
