Dimension 555 zynax555 In this level you'll explore Dimension 555, which is composed of puzzles and platforming obstacles. Be wary though, for the Dimension is corrupted by a great evil that hides in the shadows. I highly suggest that you play this level by yourself because some parts can become rather difficult with multiple people. I've been working on this level on and off for quite a few months now and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2976/aphoto.jpg http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/6103/aphoto2.jpg http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/511/aphoto1.jpg Edit-I'm not doing anymore f4f's. | 2010-06-12 18:57:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |
Very good level. In my opinion it should be in the running for a spotlight. The darkness part really gave a good switch of tone and added to the level. The anti-gravity parts were really interesting. This level is better suited for the more advance player as some parts can be difficult. | 2010-06-12 21:12:00 Author: bmoney2310 Posts: 187 |
I was playing your level of epic proportions again... and found that i kept falling to my sack's death on the part about mid way through the level, where the things are moving up and down, they go into two rooms but its one thing. but anyway the wall grab makes it difficult to swing around and under into the hallway. Might wanna fix a small but very helpful detail | 2010-06-13 23:21:00 Author: bmoney2310 Posts: 187 |
The level is wonderfully epic in its own way. You took old platforming ideas and can gave it you own twist. The common theme of slanted platforming was fun and I quite enjoyed the anti Gravity parts. The mood change from puzzle-ish to darkness came as a nice suprise. I loved it. | 2010-06-13 23:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
I fixed the grabby on the wall to make it easier to swing into the next room. Also @RagnarokWarrior, I'm glad you enjoyed my level I originally didn't have that dark world but the level seemed to be missing something. Once I added it in it felt more mysterious and complete and I think it really added to the whole mood of the level in general. | 2010-06-14 01:06:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |

Awesome level. I really enjoy the puzzles, anti-gravity grabbing objects, and an extremely cool boss battle. It's also an pretty challenging level but that kind of challenge is good enough for me. One minor issue I had with this level is that the poison gas section of the anti-gravity area could have a bit thinner gas. Overall, this level deserves 5 stars and a heart. Play and F4F "The Hero Chronicles LV3 Action Mansion" if you have time. | 2010-06-16 02:53:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
I would look at the gas/anti gravity part right now (and your level), but sadly I'm having technical issues with my ps3 so I can't really get on at the moment. Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it. | 2010-06-16 03:35:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |
lol technical issues... | 2010-06-16 03:59:00 Author: bmoney2310 Posts: 187 |
Nice level! I found the "balloon vs gas" part the hardest. I would move the checkpoint closer to the balloon/pads/gas, as I found it annoying running back to it after dying a few times. Though I understand if you keep it as is, as it makes sense with the visuals. My only other suggestion would be to make the first tentacles move a little (or maybe have them burst through), and maybe add something under the big bridge. Great use of the layer dynamic thoughout and the boss was cool also. 5 stars and a heart. | 2010-07-03 05:34:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |

Hiya- First off, congratulations on making it in to the spotlight, well deserved my friend. My favorite thing about this level was the use of layering as gameplay, rarely do I ever see that used in levels. The boss fight was really cool too, I had a lot of fun defeating him. Great job dude! I rated it :star::star::star::star::star:. | 2010-07-04 21:31:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

My reasoning for putting the checkpoint off screen at the floaty/gas part was because with 2 players if the checkpoint is on the screen and one of the players die, they'll respawn while the other player is still going up and often enough the camera will follow the player that is now on the ground level causing the floating player to be unable to continue. Though I do understand the annoyance in having to run for about a second back everytime you die. Thanks for the feedback. | 2010-07-06 20:16:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |
Absolutely fantastic level! The style was great! The design was great! There was nothing that wasn't great about this. The anti-gravity part was interesting. May I know how you done it? This level should have 5 stars and not 4. I hearted and gave it 5 stars. Very interesting puzzles and platforms! | 2010-07-08 22:22:00 Author: Barnsy_AKA_ash Posts: 293 |
I couldn't play through the whole level due to dieing countless times on the anti-gravity sections. Although ingenious in concept, the second anti-gravity section was very frustrating. Maybe using fire hazard rather than gas would make it feel less frustrating andmake sure players can recover from an accidental slip. Other than that the atmosphere was pulled off very well with a very simple colour scheem and it might just be me, but those black sections between puzzles always felt somewhat...surreal, in a good way. The design very much reminded me of the Aperture laboratories levels. Apart from the anti-gravity sections the puzzles and platforming was challenging but not frustrating and were very creative. | 2010-07-09 23:06:00 Author: The Gentleman Posts: 360 |
