Rules To play, you need to sign up. To sign up, just comment here saying you want to play. After I get a decent amount of players, I will PM every one of you your special roles. You are NOT allowed to tell anyone your role . It's a secret between you and me. After I assign everyone their roles, I will then announce the start of the game. There are two factions; the Mafia and Civilians. The game proceeds in turns. Each night, while the civilians sleep, the dreaded mafia privately decides on which civilian to assassinate. They will do this through PM's. When they decide, they will PM me. Each day, the terrified mob of civilians accuse people of being in the mafia and execute someone. Everyone- including the mafia, will have to vote on who to execute each day. The person with the most votes, dies. Civilians may NOT PM each other or anyone in the game. All discussion about the game should remain in this thread only. If the civilians manage to kill off all of the mafia members, they win the game. But, if the mafia outnumbers the civilians, they lose and the mafia wins. The game is largely about denouncing people as mafia members, and eloquently proclaiming your innocence. There's no real way to know who's in the mafia and who isn't. "Look at those shifty eyes! She's obviously in the mafia!" and "I've never trusted that guy," are both perfectly valid reasons to accuse someone. The sheer injustice of it all is part of the fun. ROLES Mafia Faction Mafioso- Is a member of the mafia. Every night, all the members of the Mafia will come together and PM each other to decide which Civilian to kill. Civilian Faction Sheriff- Has the ability to detect the role of any player. Every night, the Sheriff will PM me about a particular player's role and I will tell them. However, since no one can reveal their roles, the Sheriff will have to convince everyone else of what they know through trust. Cop- Same as the Sheriff, but instead of knowing particular roles, they will only have the ability to know whether a player is a mafioso or a civilian. Serial Killer- A very powerful role. The Serial Killer may kill anyone during the night, but can only do this twice in the whole game. But, he/she can't kill two people in one night. Doctor- Can protect one player from any night attacks. They will PM me each night of the player of their choice. Extra Roles- There are some roles I will not put on this list. You'll have to find out during game play . Civilians- All remaining players will be regular civilians with no additional abilities. They will vote each day, but that's about it. I want at least 20 or so players. 1/4 of them will be the mafia, and the rest will be civilians. TURNS The game is supposed to start at night, but I want all platers to at least have one chance to play, so we'll start during the day. (Keep in mind, Day and Night have nothing to do with day and night in real life. It's just the name of a turn.) During the day, all players will vote on who to kill; even the mafia members. After all the votes come in, I will provide a short narrative of the death (I suck at story telling XD), and then night starts. During the night, no one is permitted to post about anything game-related. All game-related discussion should take place during the day. After I receive all of the PM's from the Mafia and the special civilian roles, I will provide another short narrative of what took place at night, and then the day starts once again. As I said earlier, this keeps going until all of the Mafia are dead, or when the Mafia outnumber the Civilians. Reminders- Please do not reveal your role to anyone else, or discuss the game anywhere else. I want to avoid cheating. The Mafia may PM other Mafia members whenever they wish, but Civilians cannot. Also, remember: No game-related posts during a night time turn. You're still allowed to talk to each other, but it cannot be about the game itself. Game Is Over! Civilians Win!

Alrighty then, well it looks like we've almost got a game If another new person joins, I will assume that Keanster is still playing, and start the game (16 people divides into 1/4 mafiosos rather easily), alternatively if Keanster says he's interested, I'll start it up just the same. *Appears once more* Geez, haunting the bathroom wasn't as good as I hoped... :| Well, with the knowledge I've obtained from past encounters, I'm pretty sure I can point out who's a mafiaso and who isn't. People who tend to talk a lot tend to be the first to go, whereas those who barely post end up surviving in the end. Also, the more you try to win over someone's trust, the more suspectable you are to die. Trust me, I've been the last civilian to go in the past two times I've played and it's all because of one vote that I end up dead on the floor (or a split-decision, which happened last time...). On a side note, usually the Mafia is always coy about their decisions and always act low. They tend to eliminate the most powerful and influential figures first (if they can identify them) and wind their way down to either the weakest or most suspicious civilian left breathing. By then, it's almost guaranteed that they'll win. And, since they took out the sheriff early this time (which, in all honesty, was a surprise to me), that's only gonna make things worse for the civilian side. So, my best advice is to watch carefully, read every word carefully, and pick-apart each and every sentence someone says. After reading Cyber's and Owtlaw jack's posts, i've re-read the previous posts, and decided i'd quote the most suspicious or just some interesting points, i know itsa lot of quotes, but bare with me and read carefully before deciding to agree or disagree. In the revelations of last night, his vote just seems suspicious to me. After reading this i believe he HAS a motive to vote me off and i understand, my suspicions of him may have been rushed and he's probably just been tricked by the set up.. I vote for silverleon! He was the one that wanted to kill Jack in the first place. Since he didn't get away with it, he used his mafia powers to do it! B3's special role really comes down to the fact that Heckboy was reported in the newspaper. I'm not telling you any more specifics about the validitiy of this report, for the obvious effects it would have on the game.

If you look back at previous rounds everyone who says stuff like "I'm innocent" or "I'm a civilian" always turns out to be a Mafia, Mafia will always be looking for ways to persuade you they're innocent, but for civilians, you only really feel the need to unless you're being pointed at with a big pointy stick. *poof* Oh hey look at that, i'm a ghost, which means i was a civilian, what a shocker... -_- For you people voting each other, isn't it odd that Rajah, heckboy and doopz, 3 of my suspects all jumped to kernel for no reason? They could have voted rock or any other random person, but suspiciously enough, they ignore ALL evidence and go for Kernetl for no reasdon. Now doopz i'm not so sure off, Rajah and Heckboy may just be joining him to frame diipz and make you guys think he;s mafia as well, but if you ask me Neither Kernel or Doopz have high chances of being mafia. I don't feel that I need to prove my innocence. I think people should be able to realize my innocence without me begging for mercy. First off, you're just "guessing" that his role was to place his opinion on the newspaper, but i mean what's the benefit of that if you can already tell who you're suspicious off while alive, and as a ghost, that makes no sense to have such useless "special role" so thats something to take into consideration, perhaps his role was to reveal one fo the mafia members that wnated him dead? Secondly: "realize my innocence" w/out begging for mercy. Are you implying so to make everyone believe you're innocent just because? And who ever said anything about begging for mercy? I proved my innocence (a little too late tho) without asking anyone to not vote for me, i acually made myself get overwhelmed by the votes because of this. Its not about begging others to believe you're a civilian is about "proving" it with actions and facts. Why not vote for the other more suspicious character, Rajah, instead of the one you voted for no apparent reason? It would only seem logical you're covering for him. And Rajah, same goes for you, why didn't you vote Heckboy, the other top suspicion, and instead voted with him against the person no one had any real evidence or suspicion of being mafia? Just think about that.
