This for many will probably be a level like many other, but for who like me as kid played it on Mega Drive this is going to be an huge jump in the past!

About this new level , i say in advance: is'nt good as some other my levels,it take also way less time... don't get hyped

BUT

Will play, but from screens I'd say not to use the story mode tree. Seriously, customs can look just as good. Some parts look like they need more corner editing, but still looks good2010-06-11 15:54:00

Interesting,
does it play just as fast?
If not, no real point playing it.

Dont get me wrong, im sure the level will be nice (as you are gek),

In that chase is better don't play it :hero:

You can play it relatively fast,but no near to the original... there is a system of rockets,but are just functional to some platform sections.

The soul of this level is more nostalgia "resurrect" an atmosphere that i don't play from 15 years

I post here some parts of what had writed one member of another forum:

"Played this level last night and it was like stepping in a time machine to visit gaming delights of years gone by."

"...The love of the original is evident in the care taken in every aspect of the levels creation, I couldn't stop smiling when I saw the pigs upon being thwarted being humiliated in their underwear, like the original."

"...I'm thinking of making a Rocket knight sack outfit today and playing again"

I got some more time on my hands, so will give it a shot somewhere today.
That said, I hope you will try again in lbp2, assuming there is more flexibility in that engine,

I've thinked the same about this level,i just hope it not bug due the 3d glitch

You know, i'm so pumped for LBP2 that sometimes i think just to stop and wait the second chapter release!
My biggest hope is that sackbots steal less thermometer than actual enemies

For example if LBP2 is good as i hope i want recreate also other levels of RKA...

About this just imagine TONS of pigs-sackbot and a special interface for the sword-jetpack part... surely it will be a boost :hero:

And i'm curious about this "hat" too,if is like i've understand i can recreate the sword fireball/slash... i've yet done it,but is just on the jetpack area		2010-06-16 22:01:00

Looking at this forum and fellow lbp-ers on psn.. we are all getting lbp2 as soon as its out..

Really cute level! Loved the side scrolling feel to it and the pigs are hysterical! Didn't play the game you based it on but really liked this level as a stand alone 2010-06-19 08:15:00

Dude this level looked A LOT like the original!

Really cute level! Loved the side scrolling feel to it and the pigs are hysterical! Didn't play the game you based it on but really liked this level as a stand alone

If you want give a chance at the original too,is really easy get the rom/emulator,also if sadly i don't think that form rules allow me to post a direct link... anyway trust me,is something that must be played, together with The Story of Thor and Earthworm Jim is one of the three most underrated MegaDrive games		2010-06-19 12:44:00

I thought the design of the stage with the use of the rocket pack was very well done and lots of fun. Visually the level is very pretty with lots of nice touches and good score bubble placement. 5 stars and a heart.

* I also played your Metal Slug level...also quite good, I got stuck after the very cool paint tank...I drove it into a ditch...maybe I was supposed to take it up the elevator? Lookng forward to playing Vagrant Hero next...anything to do with Vagrant Story (I loved that game).		2010-06-19 19:45:00

No,Vagrant Hero was'nt based on something that yet exist, it was an original story :hero:


If i can give a suggestion, only two things that i really find waaaaaaaaaaaay better than all other my levels are

-yes, the Vagrant Hero series (i was arrived at 6 chapters)

-Gek's God of War , that i find by far my best one under all points of view!
If you want give it a look, or you get stuck somewhere(maybe the last Boss) here there is a complete run video

There is a little bug:

in the final jetpack part there is a change of music, but now on the published level where it must change song it turn into silence :<

I haven't encountered this before. What triggers the sound? If replacing the sensor/music with new items doesn't help I don't know what would.

This level was indeed epic...I liked what you did with the chains. I'm playing through God of War 2 for the 1st time currently (bought the collection to play before playing GoW3) so I can really appreciate a good GoW level.		2010-06-21 16:08:00

That was a really fun level. It's like an old school video game except in a LBP twist. The pig enemies are awesome and funny and the platforming is a top notch. I also enjoyed the boss battle too. 5 :star:s and a <3.

P.S. Bug: Underneath the first bridge. I accidentally went behind the front layer near the start of the field. It's recommend you add the materials to the middle and back layer near that water under the bridge.		2010-06-21 16:52:00

1- It was a nomal music radio,then when it started to quit working i've try to connect it with a proximity sensor... nothing to do, in both situations the bug strike anyway.
Strange thing is that is just random... sometime the music work,sometime just not :<

2- Glad you liked it,i've noticed the pic with the lion in the treasure chest
Now i'm curious to ear what you think about Vagrant Hero... i think that as style is near to some your levels like Incongrous Adventure and the Wizard of Time and Space! :hero:		2010-06-22 20:06:00

Cool level. Lovely visuals and nice gameplay.
Did you try making the rockets disappear at their peak? (Then emitting them back into place). That would be more fun imo, not sure how it is in the original.

At the very end something broke. I don't know what it was. It was between the last checkpoint/jetpack and the scoreboard. I could still reach the scoreboard with the jetpack though.		2010-07-01 13:53:00

Hello-

Congratulations on the spotlight, well deserved my friend! I've never actuallly played the original Rocket Night Adventures but I bet it's good, because this level is too! I loved the characters, and the decorated point bubbles. I like the grabbable platforms that would launch you up higher. The only thing that I didn't really like was the sword that you had to use at the boss fught was a little bit fiddly, which made it a little tough to aim. Other than that, I enjoyed everything. Spectacular job dude!

This was a really fun level.

Unfortunately I never played the game it is based on, but I imagine the level captured the feel of the game pretty well, since it does remind me of the old 2D games of the era.

Those pig enemies are awesome. I don't think I've seen enemies quite like those in LBP yet. I also liked the boss at the end and riding the rocket packs.
