Wake up... Wake up... What happen to
you? Where's Kent? (Part 2 of Journey)
http://i424.photobucket.com/albums/pp327/staticspark151/LittleBigPlanet%20PSP/FlatDown.jpg

Finally, My second level of the series!

Before playing this level, I highly recommended playing the first of the series.
Find the level "Solid Journey" over here -click- (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=24504-Solid-Journey-(Update-2)&highlight=Journey)

Anyways, Once you know the story to "Solid Journey" (Which really has none...)
Although, you can think of "Solid Journey" as the Exposition, the basic background information. This level, on the other hand, think of it as the Rising Action. The story starts to become interesting. After working with Kent for 3 months in Journey incorporation, you two come across another creature. You guys couldn't do anything about. You pass out and Virus grabs you. He helps you do some basic training, and you finally get back to exploring. You'll soon realise Kent is missing.

You will come across three enviroments.
First, some grassy plains.
Second, the desert, which consist of a tomb.
Third, the snowy mountains.

You will meet one new character of the game, and he is Ghast. Just an old, ghost worker for Journey.
He will help you leave the desert. There will be new landscapes and better mechanics. No challenge, but a few puzzles.
Anyways, i hope you like it.

Another great level man!!

Part one of Journey was incredible. I remember getting that one a Saturday night and playing it multiple times. I am so glad you have graced us with a second installment. I like how some time has passed in the story since the last level but you are still with Journey and still exploring. The landscape looked great in the intro with the rocks and grass btw. The whole level looked great. Your stickering is more subtle on this level but very effective. Gameplay was a blast. All of your levels are fun to play. You are one of the best at gameplay. There is always something going on and something to look at. I love how some switches move the entire landscape in some parts to reveal a hidden door. I loved the race to get the key dispenser. When I pulled the switch and saw a you had dropped a starting gate and three fresh piles of bubbles, I literately said Oh H#!! Yeah!! You are a creator who takes care of his players too. There is always some type of reset switch in your level to bring something back to it's original position if the player messes up. I always like how you do that. I always enjoy your puzzles and the one with the rotating circles that switch paths was awesome!! And it was beautiful too. The race down the hill was great too. I am sure there will be people who tell you to speed up the gas, but I think it is at a good speed. My first playthrough I was not expecting a chase and it was a very tense run down the path. The second and third playthrough I smoked it. But for someone who is playing it for the first time it is good. I reallly dig your platforming to. I know you playtest a lot when creating because your platforming is always very fluid. I had no problems at all with it Bro!

Five stars and a big ol 'heart!! <3

Waiting for part three,

Before I reply, I want to say thank you so much for the feedback! I almost forgot how good it feels to receive feedback.

Part one of Journey was incredible. I remember getting that one a Saturday night and playing it multiple times. I am so glad you have graced us with a second installment.
Thanks, I wanted to stick with the idea of multiple climates.

I like how some time has passed in the story since the last level but you are still with Journey and still exploring.
I wanted a fresh start with the intro.

Your stickering is more subtle on this level but very effective.
I started adding most stickers at the end, but my thermo became full. (320 mb)

There is always something going on and something to look at. I love how some switches move the entire landscape in some parts to reveal a hidden door.
Thanks, I try to think of different structures of puzzles.

I loved the race to get the key dispenser. When I pulled the switch and saw a you had dropped a starting gate and three fresh piles of bubbles, I literately said Oh H#!! Yeah!! You are a creator who takes care of his players too.
It was just a quick and amazing thought that popped in my mind. Not only others will like it, but I liked it myself!

There is always some type of reset switch in your level to bring something back to it's original position if the player messes up. I always like how you do that.
The least I want is for the player to restart the level.

I always enjoy your puzzles and the one with the rotating circles that switch paths was awesome!! And it was beautiful too.
I just thought the circle puzzles will be what makes up the style of the series. Expect another, but different. Oh yeah, I actually drew this structure on a paper before doing it.

The race down the hill was great too. I am sure there will be people who tell you to speed up the gas, but I think it is at a good speed.
I actually tried to fix this, but either the fog went too fast or too slow. I'm expecting people to reply to this too. ;P

My first playthrough I was not expecting a chase and it was a very tense run down the path. The second and third playthrough I smoked it. But for someone who is playing it for the first time it is good.
I noticed, I worked on this for like 2-3 hours and it came out short. Anyways, it's fun to at least play.

I reallly dig your platforming to. I know you playtest a lot when creating because your platforming is always very fluid. I had no problems at all with it Bro!
I'm glad you recognized my playtesting. I do so much playtesting, and it's all worth it at the end.

Anyways, thankyou VelcroJonze for such an awesome feedback. You've made my day now!

This is ridiculous! (In a good way)
This level is so unbelievable, amazingly good... i hate you for that! Just kidding.
It looks perfect, the gameplay is great, the music is a great choice (btw: which one is it?) and you had so many superb ideas! i just love the circle room and how the sand trickles down the stones. It really looks perfect! Great choice of materials and the best cornerediting i have seen, yet! maybe there could be a few more more stickers here and there, but i noticed you ran out of thermo so dont mind!
The downhill race is great too! I think its just the right way and the fact that the gas arrives a little bit after the start is a nice effect! (perfect speed )
The last area looks amzing, too. Cant wait for a level in that style!
Wow i usually dont get this excited about levels... but this one is really really amazing!
All stars and hearts are yours!
Great job!

Yeah, I really can't say anything that hasn't been already said. Except these great circle puzzles are going in the Ripoffinator when I get around to finishing BB.

Nice work. Do you even need to ask about score?

It looks perfect, the gameplay is great, the music is a great choice (btw: which one is it?)
First one is from Turbo! pack (not sure what's it called)
Second one is "Feel AM"
Third is Concrete Thinking" (From Turbo! pack)
Fourth is "Orb of Dreams"

i just love the circle room and how the sand trickles down the stones. It really looks perfect! Great choice of materials and the best cornerediting i have seen, yet
I thought the sand trickleling down was a nice effect to it. Looking at Salieri's level "Curses" made me want to be sharper on corners.

The downhill race is great too! I think its just the right way and the fact that the gas arrives a little bit after the start is a nice effect! (perfect speed )
I'm glad you liked the race downhill, it was a nice thought that came to mind.

The last area looks amzing, too. Cant wait for a level in that style!
Really? You will like the next level for sure. It'll contain three worlds with three different themes, and black and white is one theme. (Article 5 FTW! )

Anyways, I'm so glad you liked my level, and I can't wait to see your upcoming level too!

I'm so glad you liked the level too! I seriously thought this level wouldn't be that good.
I'm glad you guys liked the level. I thought this level would have been a rip off of my other level "Solid Journey".
I guess not, and thanks.

This level was INCREDIBLE!

I was really exited when I saw that this was part two of the Journey series, because you first Journey level was my favorite level from you at that time. Now, it's this one. But anyways, like always, the platforming was great and flowed together really nicely (like it always does in you levels)! I liked the part with the octopus-like monster, and how it killed you and you "woke up" at a new location.

The desert part was pretty sweet, too. The only problem I experienced with it was the card key thing randomly fell through the floor. Thankfully, though, I could go back and get another one. I also don't think you were at fault, there; I would blame Cambridge on that. The tombs were awesome! I really liked the sand dropping effect. It spiced up the level a lot! The part where the, um, circles rotated, was awesome too. That's one of the things I like about your levels, Spark. You put both platforming and puzzles in you level, each in a unique way.

My favorite part of the whole level was the avalanche. That was fantastic!!! Also, the cliffhanger at the end was kind of annoying, because now I have to play the next in the Journey series (not that I didn't have to before!)...

Great level, Spark. You did not disappoint! Five stars and a well deserved heart!

Now, stop reading this and create you next Journey level!!!!

Will part 3 be your favorite next? :

I liked the part with the octopus-like monster, and how it killed you and you "woke up" at a new location.
Glad you mentioned this.
The octopus monster (Alien thingy) was originally suppose to be some other monster, but I didn't like how it turned out. At the end of the level, I redid the intro monster to the octopus monster. I'm glad I did it because the intro would have been quite different.

The desert part was pretty sweet, too. The only problem I experienced with it was the card key thing randomly fell through the floor. Thankfully, though, I could go back and get another one. I also don't think you were at fault, there; I would blame Cambridge on that.
Thank god I put an emitting key! I honestly thought that reemitting would be useless. You proved me wrong.

The tombs were awesome! I really liked the sand dropping effect. It spiced up the level a lot! The part where the, um, circles rotated, was awesome too.
After adding the sand effects, I thought of spicing up the tombs with one more thing. What was that? The puzzle

Also, the cliffhanger at the end was kind of annoying, because now I have to play the next in the Journey series (not that I didn't have to before!)...
What do you mean cliff hanger? (*Thinks*)
Thanks for playing!

Wow, it looks like you have had two major updates, so I guess it paid off that it took me a while to play this, but I'm still sorry that it took me a few days to play I've already VM'd you about it so I won't go into it anymore.

So, about this level...

This level is great. It was great how it started with a short sort of tutorial just like the prequel did, and there were some ingenious ideas that you had. It really got me into the level right off the bat. By the time I got outside to the sandy planet, I was deep into the experience.

As always, you have excelled with scenery and proved why you are known as one of the best authors with scenery. Everything from character models to environments looked great.

The challenges were great as well. It was a blast running from section to section to pull switches and open new areas. It was all straightforward and fun and I never got confused or irritated. I loved the room with the 4 rotating circles, and the key card area was great as well.

I really don't have any complaints. Seeing as you have made the two major updates, I would guess that you have fixed any issues that I would have experienced.

Awesome work Spark!

I just had to add the tutorial part in it.
Too bad part 3 will not have a tutorial.

By the time I got outside to the sandy planet, I was deep into the experience.
I thought the sandy planet looked awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I just woke up and it's very nice for you to say that.

I like building stuff that make people go "Wow"

It was all straightforward and fun and I never got confused or irritated.
I'm happy to hear you had no problems, but I'm sure Taffey will find one.

I loved the room with the 4 rotating circles, and the key card area was great as well.
The circle puzzles will be the signature of my Journey series. Also multiple themes.
As for the key, the machine I made for the key was amusing.

Thanks for coming by again!

Hey Sparky
So, I joined the PSP side of Lbp late, so I missed alot of these cool early levels. However, I went back and played Solid Journey and then this new. Well, I was very impressed with both. I liked the creative stickering in part 1, which made it look unusual, but this second one looks more gritty and realistic. The details in the cutouts were great, and therefore you used less stickering. The rock material sorta made everything blend together in some parts, but it wasn't too bad.I also liked the better narrative, giving the level more drama and purpose. The first one was kinda random storywise. Gameplaywise, I kept dying in the lava section, but it looked awesome.Um, that's about it. I enjoyed both, and look forward to part 3. One last thing, I don't understand the titles. Why is this a Flat Down Journey... What Flat down mean?

This is a great sequel to the Solid Journey.
Your use of materials is great.I love the desert part of the level it's nice.
The puzzles are great, especially the revolving circles
Although,to me it feels like a weird end to the level,I think it's just my opinion.

Yeah, part one, I used lot's of stickers; part two, on the other hand, I tried to make the places look realistic (Without random stickers)

The rock material sorta made everything blend together in some parts, but it wasn't too bad.
I actually tried to avoid the blending in, so I used sand to help find the layers and some stickers to shade some areas.

I also liked the better narrative, giving the level more drama and purpose. The first one was kinda random storywise.
Part one was more of giving you a start of what each Journey will be similar too. While in part 2, the story begins.

Gameplaywise, I kept dying in the lava section, but it looked awesome.
Everybody liked that part on my other thread.

One last thing, I don't understand the titles. Why is this a Flat Down Journey... What Flat down mean?
Think of words such as easily guided, thoroughly, and walkthrough. Words similar to that. It has nothing to do with the story, but it gives a mysterious touch.

Anyways, thanks for playing it, and welcome to the psp boards!

Edit: Another post.

Hypnotic7:
Thanks for playing my level.

Hiya Spark151-

For some reason, right before I started playing the level, I hearted it. My LBP senses told me that this level was going to be epic! The grassy area at the beginning was really cool, it's similar to my method of making grassy areas in levels. It makes me very happy to see people like you that work very hard on the corner edititng, it always pays off! I love how you had a ton of new unique ideas, like the areas where you were tested after being knocked out, and the downhill chase really got my adrenaline pumped! Overall, this is one of the best levels that I've ever played.

I rated it :star::star::star::star::star: and <3ed the level.
