Making the Sackbot & control chair

Archive: 24 posts

I came up with some ideas on how to make my own sackbot & control chair. I'm not giving the blueprints away yet, but I want you all to tell me if I should try to make them. I'm confidant they will work.

Waiting for a responce,
EEC

You do know that the DCS (Direct-Control Seat) remaps the controls? Right?2010-06-08 22:34:00

Yes

The outcome will be a box (that sackboy enters)that only I will know what is in it & how it works.

So far the only buttons I can control ,that I can think of, are these:

X
R
Joy stick (left & right)

I'm giving up on this. I forgot to tell everyone.

How about we wait for lbp2 for psp. It will most likely be coming out in like a year or so.

The idea is similar to somthing i made a while ago. It was an enterable box with four sides of grabbable material. I put grab switches on the four sides. If you held Left and R, you would grab the left side and vice versa. Since we didnt have the paintinator i made a paintinator robot that you could enter. I'm still working on it though.2010-07-01 22:22:00

Or why not actually putting sensor switches, so if sackboy moves far enough left, whatever u want to control moves left. same with jumping, and you could have a grab switch on the floor for another operation.2010-08-20 13:11:00

Ya that was my first idea, but it can only control a few buttons, so I abandoned the project. It's not worth it.

I want to say impossible, but I don't have the game on psp, and many things were thought of as impossible on LBP, so good luck!2010-08-21 03:17:00

I' ve already made sackbot (like lbp2) and the controllinator.
The controllinator is a sponge box.
The possible control are:
x
R + move-pad
move-pad.

dude this thread is 5 months old to the date. Don't revive old threads, it makes everything cluttered. Since you are new you probably don't know, but sometimes people around here will get pretty mad.
Also, Me, Alismuffin, and AFP have the best control seats. Mine does left right joystick and defaults off when joystick releases, as well as X and R. Ali and poo have levels using theirs; control seat test and Destiny2.

Ive Recently Made a Sackbot. To tell you the truth it wasn't that hard. all i did was make a general shape and put a non-collectable brain on it and set it to follow. Ive been slightly motivated to make a control BOX, but i need to get a new PSP charger, because i lost my old one at a cabin.2011-02-28 15:39:00

This is an awesome idea cory! I may be a little late but my latest level will contain a creature of some sort controlled by using the control box thing, I'm going to use the same technique as the plane from Plane Stupid, with the whole grab left grab right thing.2011-03-22 04:20:00

Go ahead! No ones stopping you, we need more good levels on the PSP, and I think the control box thing is a great idea to bring in some cool ideas and creations, I'm thinking of a flying dolphin made of anti gravity stones, yeah it's crazy.2011-03-29 07:07:00

It's most probably an impossibility, but then again...

Mah Main man Woodbury made a Creatinator that wasn't half bad!
So, I'll Quell until it's release.

No offense but that sounded a bit cocky I have made a a control seat that lets you control up, down, left and right movements and you can use the R button but you don't see me telling people that I have the best control seat.
