So over the weekend I was "hanging out" with RobotCrash and one of his friends (jimmyear). At one point one of jimmys buddies (lavegerty61) came in and was trying to talk with jimmy. I was gooffing around with robot and jimmy in a monster truck I had made while Robot and Jimmy where doing the same with vehicles of their own. Basicly turned into a distruction durby. After lave saw my truck in action he said he wanted it and asked me if I would send him the file. I didnt respond as he had been kind of annoying and whiny since he came in 5 minutes prior. He then captured my truck and immediantly took off. He only got the truck and not the logic that runs the thing. I dont know if there is anything I can do about this but I figured I would ask. This is the same basic truck i used in my "monsters on ice" level though with fender flares, also same base as the boss truck that chasses you threw my "stadium truck mountain run" and is built off of my stadium truck chassis. I never released my truck as a prize because of the logic messing up when you spawn it out of the popit. Im not sure if there is anything I can do about this, and I realy hate the fact that some punk stole my work. Any ideas?

If he is one of those who steals work, I don't think he will know how to rebuild the logic So there might be a chance of him trying it and then deleting it "because it doesn't work"

Unfortunatley there is nothing you can do now. He has captured it and has it, you cant get it back. The only thing i can suggest is to never get out your objects infront of people you dont really know or trust. I never do incase this happens! Im sorry to hear this, maybe you can message him in a calm way saying can you please delete the vehicle as its mine and i didnt say you could have it. Try and be nice and hopefully they will feel bad and delete it. If your angry and rude they might laugh in your face and probably publish it in a level of their own! Goodluck and i hope you get this sorted!

This happen's a lot, if you check through past threads, unfortunately. The best you can do to avoid it in the future is only let people you really really trust in your levels. When you see the '[Insert name] wants to join you' message, make sure that if there's multiple names there, you trust all of those people. If you let them in by mistake, don't kick them, return to pod apparently changing to play mode is quicker than that, kicking them gives them 10 seconds to quickly capture the object. Whereas returning to pod leaves immediately. Sorry to hear about that, hope that helps you in the future...

1. Don't let people you're not sure about in your create mode. 2. Don't "show off" with strangers unless you know them or really don't care if they take them. 3. Never EVER allow "a friend of a friend" in create mode unless you either know them or the other person can assure you they won't do that kind of stuff. 4. If someone tries to capture something go onto play mode immediately, its a lot faster than returning to pod. 5. If they don't leave immediately, try and trap them in a word trap asap if possible, this will fore them to shut off the PS3, meaning they can't go back to their pod, they have to shut off so the object won't be saved. (When playing online most stuff is saved after you return to pod) Those are the only tips i can offer you right now, hioe they help ya for later occations m8.

Basing this off of his attitude, he'll probably become frustrated that the truck doesn't work the way he should and will delete it. Can't say much that hasn't already been said, just don't let people you don't really know into your levels.

If your going to show off something to strangers in online create...before showing it to anyone, place it inside an emitter, set the lifetime to about a minute or less, emit the item, then capture it. Even if they steal it, if they try to use it in a level, it will disappear in the lifetime you gave it. Two probolems with this though: I don't know if there is a way that they could remove the lifetime limit of the object, and they can still give it away in a prize.

I think I should go word bombing... where's Josh... Last time, me and Kean, after it happened to Kean, he got a word bomb and sent a friend request to the thief, then sent the item. The bomb was hidden under a bunny and if it was grabbed the victim was bombed.

what is this word bomb thing? when you put a cut scene on a magic mouth, you can't pause or pretty much do anything in game except close the bubble. word bombing is emitting and activating a constant stream of cutscene magic mouths. this means you can't shut the bubbles(another one just pops up if you do), can't pause, nothing! the only thing you can do is shut off your system.

...the only thing you can do is shut off your system. So that's why you never see that in a published level And if you do, it'd probably have zero playthroughs... but in create, you can just hover, right?
