What new power-up do you want to see in LBP2?

yep, i'm thinking since LBP 2 is a platform for games, i think we should get WAY more than just 6 power-ups, so what do you guys think? you can post what new power-ups you'll like to see in the game, heres my ideas: *a sword-like weapon *a boomarange *a sheild that can withstand electric, gas, and fire *a spring like the spring mushroom from SMG *other types of jetpack, like the wings *freeze-ray what power-ups do YOU like to see in LBP2? | 2010-06-08 16:10:00 Author: TheUltraDeino Posts: 1274 |

Hand Held emiters! I thought of it first! You would select an object to emit and viola! Great for war levels! A Tuba, a saxophone, a sousaphone, guitar, piano, ect. Invincibility, sort like the star in mario(without the annoying music). tweak the amount of time to set it for. from 1second to Unlimited. I would absolutely LOVE a flashlight!!! I have been wanting that on LBP 1 for months. I'd like the sackpeople to be able to aim the beam like a Paintinator, turn it on/off with R1, and perhaps have batteries (with an option for infinite battery fuel, just like infinite paintballs for the Paintinator). Ohh. I've got some ideas!! -DEFINITELY a sword weapon(like a lightsaber that can double as a sword by dimming the glow of it to zero.) -a slow motion powerup, only in effect until you land on the ground. -Super Gloves( they c an punch and smash and should resemble Knuckles' gloves -Inventory Bag( a backpack or sling bag that can contain various items for use in the game) -Anti Gravity Shoes( can tweak your jump for only your player, everyone else applies to normal gravity setting can also walk on walls and ceilings) -flashlight (for those dark areas) -laser blaster( like on star wars, the lasers can bounce off of walls) -bomb ball( can kick it to kill enemies, like on Megaman 8 -sheild -parachute I'll soon think of more. A thing that makes sackboy change size would be nice. Ooh and a shield generator, that has a customeizeable look, duration, and strength. The sword idea someone mentioned is pretty awesome. A thing that gives sackboy the power to pause time for a limited duration, he gets ome kind of clock thing on his head, with a big button on the side, he hits the button and everything stops, and he can just walk through the field of flying evil spiked things with lasers. And some kind of camoflage thingy, that makes him blend in with the background would be neat, and a way to avoid the spotlights ( MGS PACK ) Maybe some kind of shoes to make him run REALLY fast. A lot of these are possible with the Direct Control Seat (I refuse to use it's newer name!) and other things. Though I would like to see the powerups sackbots can't wield useable (grapple hook, jetpack and whatever other ones they can't use), at least equipable so Controlled sackbots can use them. Not exactly a powerup, but allowing sackbots to go underwater (again, not saying they have to know how to swim, just don't die on contact) Oh yeah, this one might be doable with sackbots/DCS/etc as well, but a powerup that allows the user to be invunerable to hazards (could be tweaked to decide what ones, and how long the invunerability would last), would work on all hazards except for being crushed. | 2010-12-19 10:51:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |

Jet Boots - With jet boots on there are several different effects that take places: 1) Moving faster 1a) Effects - When you hold R1 while moving you move faster and at the end of it you stop as if you've been on glass. 1b) Tweakability - There are various ways of tweaking the movement like speed, glass ending effect (will have a slider) and jet color. (The jet that comes from the back of your jet boots.) 2) Hover 2a) Effects - if you jump and then tap R1 you enter a hover mode. It's a bit like hover mode in create mode but a bit more glassy, like when you stop moving in a direction you glide for a while. To get out of this and fall press R1. Like swimming, your sackboy is always in the front layer. 2b) Tweakability - There are several tweak options like speed, glass ending effect and, again, jet color (Actually this is an option that applies to all.) 3) Swimming faster 3a) If you have water from the POTC pack you can move faster in water with the same effects as moving faster so there is no point of sectino 3b. lets see. first off, didnt LBP2 already have a hand held emmiter type thing called the Creatonator. And i saw Hover Boots! Brilliant! But here is my very pridictable list: Sonic Sumoner: A helmet that lets you spawn a little Space Mouse in a UFO type space craft. It goes around shooting stuff (like creature brains, Gun/Paintanator targets.) Piolets Helmet: A portable Controler. Let me explain. If you walk up to a Fighter Ship you cant use it unless you are wearing the helmet! When you are wearing it you can control it (you will be inside) and the controls will be changed, so that you can fly it with ease. Heli-Pack: A back pack that allows you to jump with the assistance of propellers comming out & helping you jump higher. And if you are running and just tap X you will be flung foward, further than normally possible. And in mid air you can press R1 or X (wichever MM thinks is best) to glide (slow down falling & control where you are going to land easier! Grind Boots: This power up will attach you to rails (of special material types) &jump controlls will be altered to make you go faster. Also the view may change? Hey if you dont know how Grind Rails work play the game. Its hard to explain. And they need Magne-Boots! Allows you to walk up walls on certain magnetic materials. And well all the famous gadgets from Ratchet & Clank! (maybe in a few DLC packs! & a simple Blaster power-up! That you can tweak to be a RYNO or Pyricitor, Blaster, Bomb Glove, Agens of Doom, Plasma Whip, Nitro Eruptor, Ryno V, RYNO IV, Zodiac, Sonic Eruptor, Tornado Launcher, Predetor Launcher, Devastator, Decimator, B2 Oblitorator, Anihilator, Tempest Launcher, Quack-o-ray, Spiral of Death, Death Springs, Buzz Blades, Plasma Beasts, Mag-net Launcher, Groviron, Negotiator, Constructo Bomb Glove, Constructo Pistol, Constructo Shotgun, Shock Blaster, Mr. Zurkon, RYN3O, Quantam Whip etc. | 2010-12-19 22:40:00 Author: ratchetruler Posts: 88 |

I've got just came up with some more: Blackbelt: Equips you with martial arts moves such as kicks, flips, and punches. Drill Hammer tool: (like the mario bros.) Sticky gloves: allow you to climb up flat, grabable surfaces which are behind you (like spiderman) Teleporter Power Armor (like in Megaman 6) web slinging device bow and arrow (shoot special arrows like Hawkeye and the Green Arrow. Timeinator = stop, fast-forward, or rewind time via D-pad. And when it's unequipped time resumes as normal. Gravinator = boots that let you walk up walls. When unequipped you fall. Invizinator = Makes you transparent on/off via R1. Go through enemies, lights, and walls with special switches. Also you choose what hazards effect you. Go visible when unequipped. I got one or two ideas, and some of them were said by others, but still. -Get bigger or smaller. Might be possible if you just create a sackbot and then make the sackbot dissapear to replace it with a bigger one. -Shield I think of many things to do with sackbots. And I'm wondering : if a sackbot can enter a Direct Control Seat, can you control a sackbot controlling a sackbot controlling a sackbot controlling a sackbot ? Even greater, control a sackbot that has power gloves, and take yourself (the true sackboy) to throw yourself in non reachable areas. Then create a path for the sackbot, and bring him back. Two ideas 1. Gas mask. Looks a bit like the Beta Bug Blaster mask and allows you to walk through Horrible Gas without dying. Can be tweaked so it can only last so long before it stops working 2. Fire-proof suit. A skateboard or roller skates would be neat but I think sword would open MANY doors of possibilities in LBP2. Aren't most of these feasible with logic? The flashlight, for example... Attach the flashlight object (or a custom object with a light) to a hologram, make the hologram follow the player exactly where he is, attach a rotor to the hologram and link a controllinator to that to rotate the flashlight to the direction you point with the right stick. Speaking of these being feasible with the tools we have now, I've been working on making one of these (a personal favorite of mine) a reality. My plan is to make melee attacks an easy-to-use part of the game for everyone.
