Im Suggesting a Survival CheckPoint.

Imagine when u spawn ...and then you get killed, you go automaticly to the scoreboard.

Its more simple than putting a perma switch and connecting so many stuff...

who likes?

That is hardly of any use, i'd say. Connecting a piston to a checkpoint isn't such a big deal.
What would make for a truly useful survival checkpoint would be a heckpoint that submits your score to the scoreboard each time you die, and that it resets your punctuation to 0.
Such a thingn could also help to "heal" the cool pages, since restarting the level would be no longer necessary AND lvls whit this kind of checkpoint would be prefered over the restarting ones, so there's little chances the restarting ones could keep themselves at the top of cool pages.

Or, you could just connect a single prox switch to the scoreboard

Sadly, I think people would realise this was damaging their plays and not use it. Better would be an enforced system where restart level does not count as a duplicate play.... That way the creator won't be able to control it and there is no real benefit to the players of coming back out to their pod to go back in again over and over.

Good idea. Anything that saves you having to use connectors or switches is good in my book.

It would be great if they made an entrance that either dissolved or was permanently deactivated meaning it couldn't be accidentally reactivated if the player moved near it again. It would save the trouble of having to move them out of the way or more specifically it would be better than having to put it up in the air and drop the player in to an area where they couldn't get near it again, especially useful if you want the player to enter an enclosed space where moving the checkpoint away isn't possible.

I also thought of that, but since I believe that most players -even the very young ones- prefer not restarting over restarting, and at the end, the amount of plays a survival lvl gets depends solely on if the players like or not the lvl, I get the feeling that those survival checkpoint would end up being a success. But meh, this is pure pure speculation.
But yes, i'd also prefer restarts to stop counting as plays!

MrV, you could try to demit the checkpoint in that kind of situations.
But yup, your suggestion wouldnt be a bad feature at all!

Yeap. An update made it so that all you need to do is put a prok switch on a checkpoint that can't be reached when the challenge starts, and connect it to the scoreboard.
