What were you scared of as a kid?

i know most of us were scared of something when we were small and i think its funny to look back at it now that i am big and fearless. when i was 5-7 i was scared ****less by this guy:

I recall being terrified of this!

It's a show in the UK that was on in the 80's and 90's called Spitting Image. It was a show that made fun out of politicians and celebrities, by using hideous puppets!

I now find it quite funny!

Not birds, but pigeons.
I think that the said animal is really dumb and unpredictable (and makes a lot of damages with guano, fleas and various diseases).
One day I was walking in Saint Peter square

that is completely invaded by that hellish animal, when a fleet of pigeons flied towards me and I jumped on the floor like a bear carpet

to avoid them.

The animal has a wicked connection with me and my relatives, since once in Venice, a pigeon "creamed" my father's forehead with guano, and once, when I was giving touristic infos to two awesome looking foreign girls, pointing the direction with my stretched arm, a pigeon decided to "cream" my arm, making me feel a complete dushbag.

So, when I see a pigeon it's only a question o finding a place to duck and cover.		2010-06-07 20:12:00

I used to be scared of the bathroom down the hallway, especially at night, especially when the shower curtains were closed. If the shower curtains were closed, I would NOT go in there, and I'd need to get someone to open the curtains so I could go to the bathroom.

I was not very scared, but I used to find that The Cure's music video really disturbing back then...
And I used to tease my younger brother with it who was terrified by it

My mother used to have these figurines of an old man and an old woman. The old man didn't bother me, but I used to imagine the old lady would talk to me in a scary mean voice. I wouldn't ever go in the living room where she was. Perhaps she was really alive and would only show herself to children. I was also afraid of the space between the wall and my father's file cabinet. I knew a hand would reach out from that space and grab me if I went by it.2010-06-08 03:24:00

LOL! Carved wood for me too, only it was statue of a greek warrior standing on the body of his victim and holding aloft his severed head. Scared the crap out of me whenever I went to my aunt's place.

Oh god, i can't remember what it's called, it was on of those companys, like PIXAR that show'd the company logo right before a movie, and it their logo would come up, with a VERY loud long noise, and it wouls scare me SO much. I can't remember what it's called, ill post back when i do!

My living room in the middle of the night. I always woke up in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep, but I was afraid to go to the bathroom because when if I walked there, I was afraid something would jump out of the darkness of my living room and drag me away. Oh, and ghosts and an invisible man who appeared in my dreams. Im still sorta scared of the dark, but not too much.2010-06-08 03:51:00

Spiders!

They still scare the bejebus out of me. They hunt me down. I had one down my top once when we were driving on the motorway. We got some funny looks, me screaming and my hubby with one hand on the stearing wheel and the other down my blouse! Oh and, AND who's dinner did the only spider in the house choose to drop off it's line into, yes that's right, mine!

I was also afraid of the dark, and still am, very much.
