These three will receive prizes for their incredible skillz

#1 - Spark151 with 56 points (Spark151 will receive either 500xp or something special whenever xp rolls around)

#2 - Play_the_Nerd with 44 points (TheNerd will receive 100xp whenever xp rolls around)

Hidy Ho Sackfolks! This competition is directly related to the PSP Survival Level Challenge (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=27195-PSP-Survival-Level-Challenge-Win-a-Superstar!-Gold-Rare-Sticker).

Here's how this will go down:

Each Participant will receive points based off of how well they perform on the survival challenges that were submitted for the PSP Survival Level Challenge. The winner will be determined by who has the most points at the deadline.

What You Must Do to Participate

1. First and foremost, MAKE SURE TO POST IN THIS THREAD to let me know that you are participating! There will most likely be people who are in the top rankings on a levels high score who are not participating in this competition. I want to know who I am looking for when I go to figure out the scores for the participants. Even if you get 1st place on every level, you will still not win unless you let me know that you are participating.

2. Play, play, play! All you need to do is get the highest score that you can on every single survival challenge that was submitted for the PSP Survival Level Challenge.

3. Make sure to log back online once you have obtained your unbelievably high scores (or any high score at that matter) or no one will ever know that you got the high score. If you forget to log online before I go and grab the scores on Friday then it will be too late! There's no way that I could know whether you actually got that score before the deadline since it will seem to appear after the deadline.

4. Come back to this thread and talk smack... Doing this step won't actually help you win at all, but it will remind everyone else that you are awesome and that they are losing.

Below are the levels who's high scores will be considered in this competition:

How Will the Scoring Work?

You will only receive points if you place in the Top 5 for any given level. There will most likely be people who are not participating who end up being in the Top 5, but I will still only be considering those levels. So, every position held by a non-competitor will be a null space and those points will be waisted. 4th place will still receive the points designated for 4th place, even if 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are non-competitors.

Scoring will work like this:

1st Place = 10 points
2nd Place= 6 points
3rd Place = 3 points
4th Place= 2 points
5th Place= 1 points

So if a competitor places 2nd on one of the levels, 4th on another, and 6th on the rest, then they will have 8 Points total.

The Deadline

The competition will begin today, June 5th, and will end on Friday, June 11th at 2:00PM GMT.

The Prizes

Awards are given to the first, second, and third highest scores as follows:

First Place: 500 experience points OR something extra special if all of the moons align...
Second Place: 100 experience points
Third Place: 50 experience points.
Best Smack Talker: 50 experience points.

The LBPC forum experience system (vBExperience) is still missing in action, but not for long. In the meantime, I will keep a tally of the experience awarded. When the system (or equivalent) is back up and running, I'll pay up!

The [Smack Score]

Along with the experience that will be given out for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, an extra 50xp prize will be given to the person with the best [Smack Scrore]. You can see this score by checking out the list of competitors below. If the competitor has brackets next to their name with [+#], that # tells you their smack score.

Point will be given on a nomination basis. If you see someone who handing out awesome Smack Talk, or maybe just saying something stupidly ridiculous, then quote them in a reply and then write +1.

Alright time for some SMACK talk! I have played through everyone of the listed survival challenges, and since most had similar designs, I found some strategies to get the high scores. So all I have to say is: I'm probably going to get second place!

Velcro's got me beat, in a lot of levels. Some I can't even get in the top five. So it's not me you guys should worry about it's VelcroJonze

Nice job Spark! VJ and TheNerd need some competition, so it's good to hear that you are giving it to them! I'm going to check up on the scores tonight before I head to bed and see how people are faring.

Remember, even if you are struggling today, maybe if you boot it up tomorrow you will do amazing. For some reason I have a tendency to do that. I will be struggling and ripping my hair out with a game (or level), and then when I boot up the next day I rock on my first or second try

Why does everyone waste their breath now??? I mean, someone's for sure going to overtake you between now and the deadline, so wouldn't you wait until the last day or two?

Also, Poo, you might want to add the fact that you have to go to the community moon before the scores are uploaded to the OP. I think it's a pretty well-known fact, but it would be a bummer if someone would've won but didn't due to not uploading scores.

Ok, listen up newbs. Yes, "newbs". That's how n00bs was spelled back when it was actually short for "newbie". (Nobody knows how to kick it 1997-style like I do.)

Right. I'm not here to school you on abbreviations, but rather on high scores. Earlier this morning I managed to work my way up to #5 on Botafumeiro. Aha! I went online to upload the score and found that I had already been bumped off of the bottom rung. That, however, is irrelevant.

My point is this: Mathematically extrapolating my current pace, I will have #1 on all levels VERY SOON. So there!

Of all the survival challenges in the list for this contest, Frostbite makes me use the largest amount of curse words. It looks like it should be so simple but it's HARD. (Plus, I am full of platforming fail lately for some reason, but that's a whole other story.)

I played every chance I got today at work, but I do believe you are the one to beat.

What scares me is ThisIsInsane and Memorex (I hope he joins) are going to come on strong before this is over.

Great job everyone, the smack talking has really picked up in the last 24 hours! I decided to add an extra category to the whole competition (with a small experience prize) and that is for the best smack talk.

I added a [+1] next to ThisIsInsane's name in the original post. This score keeps track of how that person is doing at smack talking. If you see any post that makes you smile at just how much smack is being dealt out, then quote that post and say it deserves +1 (just like Taffey did). As long as I think that it deserves it, I will add the points to the original post. So keep that smack talk coming!

Wow, ThisIsInsane, that really really REALLY sucks! I'm so sorry that your PSP did that to you!

On a different note, we are now down to the final 24 hours for this competition. Please make sure to upload all of your scores by 2:00PM GMT (which I believe is 9:00AM CST and 5:00AM in those crazy California states. Sorry about the odd time for ending the competition, but I figured that I would do it at the end of the day for myself (in China), and that just so happens to be a silly time for everyone else. On a side note, I am not very confident that any of those times are correct

I may have a dinner to go to tomorrow, but as soon as I get home I will log online, download the scores, and then start adding scores!

Hmmm... it sounds like I have no idea how the time zones are related. Let's just make i t 9:00AM CST, because that is an easy one for me to estimate since it is exactly 12 hours earlier than China :-) If you are concerned about what time that is for you, then just punch it into the interwebs and find out what it is for you.

I logged online when I said that I would (9:00AM CST), and all of the scores are listed. If there seems to be some major issue which will change around the top 3 positions in the overall point scores then I would be glad to look into trying to get pictures posted on here, but if your case is the only issue, then all that was messed up is the fact that you won by a healthy margin instead of winning by crushing the life out of everyone

you should check my high scores because i got 1st on hotbox with 21983!! and frostbite with 6720! i wish i remembered to go back online afterwards so that the went to the comunity.
