Okay so we all know the Cool pages right now are a disaster. However, I have a few suggestions to help fix this. 1. Just as its required to rate each level that you finish, make it required to choose its "genre" so to speak. The genres could consist of Story, Survival, Challenge, Series, Platformer, Movie, Shooter, etc etc. 2. Make it so the cool pages adjust themselves based upon how many of each genre are inside.. that way we don't get the first 3 pages flooded with Survival and Challenge type levels, so the story levels get a chance to shine as well. 3. And/Or allow classification buttons on Cool Pages, or any search. Think ebay.. how when you search for something you can narrow it down to find what you want. So.. just allow a few different buttons to narrow your search even more after you've already searched for it. I know that for LBP2 they are working on a system to let people find the best levels, but I think this is also a good solution. Opinions?

Clasifications/ genre select options would be the same as the currnnet tag system, so people would be the exact same problem. So...that pretty much nulls all 3 as classifications would be all messed up, as it'll screws up all non-name related search systems in LBP just like it is now. The problem m8, is not the searching system/ rating system/ classification system, its the people, people like h4h-ers, level-spammers/ copyers/ thieves. and all those bad weeds in the LBP community... Remember, programmers can forsee, adjust and fix game problems, but they can't predict what people will do. I'd reccomend instead a sub forum on the site for all the hundreads of "Cool pages suck" threads, as no one seems to ever look for any of the thousands of pre-existing ones, that way at least they're all compressed in a single area.

The creator sets the Genre, 2 or 3 for a limit and a Difficulcy rating for the level. Then the Player sets their own CREATOR BLOCK LIST. Then using FILTERS, the Player can specify what they want to see. You can customize Your Own Cool Levelz! Mee Wantee! Especially the Creator Block List, so you can swipe the trollers under your carpet if you will.

I would love a creator block list, then say "creator A" has a level on page 1, but you have them blocked, so in your cool pages "Creator B's" level would show up instead. But all this stuff is probably unneeded because of the new stream for lbp2.

Although it's been said before, a creator block list would be helpful. It might even make good levels show up on cool pages. Also, I think restarts shouldn't count as plays, since that's how a large number of survivals get on the front page. Maybe also have heart to play ratio search option... The problem with that would be H4H levels high on the list, but I suppose you could you could block all of them.

The creator block list would be a great addition. I don't see how my idea wouldn't work in unison with it, as all it does is sort the searches in a manner you choose. I know that people will be people and they're going to make, spam, h4h, and play whatever they want but I think for each individual could view their own "cool pages" by sorting them via genre and creator block list it would fix a LOT of problems.

And you could also send these settings to a friend. Mayle 5 Cool Lelevsz slots, one for your personal likes, one to see what kind of shooters players made, one for Mm picks, and two for the Cool Levelz your friends sent you and you don't intend to use ever, anyhow. Though LBP.me might do the trick in a different way already?
