So here's my qustion: Does music make any differnce to your gaming or creating? Because a while ago I was playing the Lemon and gravy Office bomb survial and started to listen to my i-pod. I reached the end with a more than repectable place on the score board. I had played the level many times before but never as well as I had played it with the music. So i wondered wheather it was because of the music or just pure luck. So I resolved to find out. Then i forgot about it for 5 mounths. Eventaully i remebered and posted it. And here it is!

Music when I am in create mode helps a lot, but playing levels and first person shooters games sucks with music in my opinion :

I haven't turned on the music in LBP back on for months; I just enjoy listening to music I didn't hear several hundred million thousand gillion times over. Also some songs fit levels

Actually music helps to relax (obvious), and muscles and senses when relaxed are way more responsive, that's the first thing you learn from martial arts or from playing an instruments. And on a side note, it works for videogames too, since videogaming relies on quick reflexes and manual ability.

Music helps pretty much in anything that involves creativity. Of course the music needs to be right in order to make anything good. For example, if you try to do creative writing while listening to Lady Gaga...yes, you will fail. Since I'm writing a novel nowdays, I like to listen to Jefferson Airplane, Cinematic Orchestra and such bands with a little psychedelic vibe. Of course it depends on what you're doing but for me, those bands are pretty helpful.

Create? Yes. Better than nothing. Play? Yes. I always mute it and play other music during certain songs.

Heck yeah! I'm always listening to music when I work, usually wordless stuff from the NG Portal. However, when I finally start my long-in-hold horror level, I'll be able to really crank some screamo. Can't wait for that.

i dont know if it helps me but its much more fun to create with music especialy with aerosmith because it gives me good feeling inside. Although i havent updated my music collection for a while :I

most of the time i have music on when playing mw2 DnB and dubstep get you in a mood to go on a rave and you just take it out by shooting people, it helps me a lot lol .BOUNTY.

I love listening too some techno when i create ! And when i play, i... love listening too some techno.... hmm... I guess i just like techno music ! But I do enjoy the in-game music xD

Ask one of our mods and they move it for you, Comphermc, Aya042, BabyDoll1970, Rtm223 or MrSuperComputer Either that or one of them will notice sooner or later. Back on topic, I think the kind of music you play determines what you do. For example, I was playing Dragonforce "Through the Fire and Flames" while playing Burnout Paradise and I was shredding rubber, taking names and doing crazy stunts all because the music fitted those actions. While on the other hand, when I tried playing the same song while in Create Mode on LittleBigPlanet, instead of doing anything productive... I ended up banging my little sackboy head like crazy and making explosions :. And it's pretty rare to catch me playing my own music. I only really use music while playing .deTuned or using Life with Playstation (and because every one of my soundtracks are different).

I can't create in create mode without some music playing in the background Well I can... but I never do lol. In play mode I prefer to listen to the music and sound effects that the level author chose. It adds to the level a lot, if the music fits the theme.

Listening the music stimulates the left side of the brain. The left side is where creativity and art comes from. The right brain is Mr. Logic, and is rather boring. So yes, listening to music wakes up Mr. Artsy Fartsy.

I find when I'm distracted from things, I get less stressed - and often do quite well! Sometimes I snap back to reality (well, the TV screen anyway) and think How the heck did I get here?? Haha, My subconscious mind is a bigger gamer than I am!!
