Jet prototype v1Spok22
This isn't actually a level. More like an object. Just wanna see what everyone thinks of it. It may be hard to get the hang of at first but it gets easier... I'm planning on using this in a space shooter kind of level but I wanna see ppls feedback on the jet first. because if ppl dont like the jet, what's the point? Lol

I think I just played the level....
I'm not sure if I did...
Was it the level called "A Killer Star"?

Well, I don't want to be a drag, but the jet is pretty bad.
I mean the controls are easy, but the materials used for the jet make it heavy to bring up in the air.
I've also got squished just being inside the jet, therefore I couldn't really go back to the ship since there is a large pit you can't cross.
(The pit where the ship arises from)

The intro was just to plain, in fact I had to guess for the password... (Ashamed to that I wouldn't have known the password was 2010)
The level used a basic open background. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Seeing a blank background.
It's already bad enough to see a back that is already one of the main templates, but using the most basic background is a pain killer.
It's a pet peeve, I could understand you might like the lighting environment, but I just don't like seeing that blue background.

I'm being honest on your feedback because I don't want to lie and let you post a bad level.
I want you to post an awesome level, therefore I want you to fix these mistakes.

I know how to fix your Jet.
Replace your Glass window with something else. (I know, a pain, but glass is probably the heaviest part of the ship)
If that still makes the ship heavy, then try find lighter materials...

As for dieing while in the ship, I could fix that, it's something called the emitter. (OH NOEZ, THE EMITTERZ!)
I know, everybody hates this tool, but it's one of the best tools in the game for spawning vehicles and stuff.
Just place the emitter where you want it to spawn, and when you die, put a sensor switch near the checkpoint.
Therefore, when you die, the sensor switch can activate the emitter to spawn a new one. (Don't forget, but the sensor switch has to be in "One Time" mode)

The background situation.... Just do yourself, your level, and me a favor.
Use materials and cover the entire background. I don't care what materials it is, but I just don't like seeing that blue basic background.

The intro with the password, just delete that part of the level. I found that to be very useless...

Sorry, I don't want to sound like I'm being some freakish creep, but if you fix these problems, then I'll love your level.
I'll heart it, and you'll also be doing yourself a favor by earning good ratings and possibly hearts!

Your friend... I hope still...

The jet's controls are pretty bad. Since Spark already put it out to you, I'll just say some nice things.
Well, there was an emitter Spark. There was a button to the left of the ship that was blocked by a dissovable meteor. When you died once, it should have let you in so you can re-emit another ship. He probably didn't use a background since well he just started creating the level and probably didn't bother with it. It's his first try on making the jet, so no need to go that hard on him.

But you should listen to Spark's tips on the jet, Spok. Sort of good for a first try.

Yeup that was it spark. Thanks so much for the feedback. The reason why I put a password is cuz I was sending out requests for ppl to play my level and then giving them the password. That is just temporary and will be gone in the final version . As for the blank background part Im not done with the level yet. Not even close. I just put the level out so I could see what ppl thought of the jet. The main problem I had with the jet was that it was too heavy and I didn't know that different materials had diff weights so thanks for that. I will continue work on my jet and hopefully I will continue to get as helpful feedback as yours. 2010-06-03 07:43:00

I would suggest making more space in the control deck and maybe a seperate grab switch for the micro bomb launcher.2010-06-03 09:08:00

Hey spok, just played your demo and i liked what you have so far. The problems with the plane are easily fixed by what Spark said. I liked the idea and if implemented this could be another great level from you.

Let me know when you update!!

Later Buddy!!
