Hidy Ho Sackfolks! I was just doing my daily sweep of the interwebs (yes, I look at all of the interwebs everyday) and I found a very interesting story over at IGN: http://psp.ign.com/articles/109/1093855p1.html According to this article, Sony is doing a number of things to promote the PSP starting in June, but the things that caught my attention are: 1) Bundling LBP PSP with the PSPgo (with no increase to the price of the system, still $250 for games and system) 2) Dropping the price of LBP PSP to $19.99 The combination of these two factors may really help to increase the LBP PSP community, and that prospect has me very excited On a side note, since we are all PSPers, are these other changes: All these games are having price drops to $9.99: Ape Escape: On the Loose Buzz! This is awesome news - thanks poo! LBP and GT for 20 bucks!? That's craziness. I might have to pick up that Williams Pinball collection... I hear it's pretty good. (Also, you mean the interwebs that have gotten through the Chinese screen door... literally, it's a screen door. That's how they filter.)This is a confirmed fact. It was discovered that said screen doors made questionable submarine hatches and instead were repurposed to filter the interwebz.

Lucky US Store users, the EU are still getting ripped off for most of those... some are twice the price! edit: Also, Twisted Metal is redundant since the servers were turned off, and Pixeljunk Monsters has a game-crippling bug at the end. Avoid.

It easily beats the 2000 & 3000, and the only thing the phat has over it is its hackable...ness... But people hacked it within the first week or something, so sooner or later someone like DAX will come along and spread the win to everyone again and we can party like it's 2005.

Umm, seriously? It easily beats the 2000 & 3000, and the only thing the phat has over it is its hackable...ness... Its just the fact their selling terribly. People aren't ready for download only consoles. (A lot of people don't have online.)

Personally I always favour the download over the UMD (faster loading, less noise!) even if there's a few quid difference. But a lot of classic PSP games will never be released on the store, therefore PSP GO=Fail. I still rate the 1000 for battery life, durability and general win factor. Hackableness not a factor in my decision, while I used to do that with my DS, I realised the damage it does to the scene and have paid for everything since.

Actually, you DO realize that a PSP-3000 with a 32GB memory card will end up costing you only $20 more than a PSPGo (depending on where you buy), right? If you go with the 3000, you get the space + UMDs. To put it into other words, I'll list the ups and downs of each*. PSP-3000 -Can play UMDs -Nicer fit in your hands -Can also play downloads -Many different colors PSP Go -Can't play UMDs -Only two colors currently available -Doesn't fit nicely in your hands -Destructoid confirmed that after around 200 start ups and shutdowns, screen shatters on 90% of all Gos** See Taffey? PSP Gos suck, and PSP 3000s are WAY better, not to mention cheaper!!! *By reading this, you agree to realize that this is only one man's opinion. I believe the UK is in Europe, correct? Indeed, and LBP is getting the price drop. However lots of the other listed games are not dropping for us, and we pay more on average per game anyway. Plus, while UK is in the EU, they price every EU region's content differently, so having a single EU price isn't always accurate.

When the Go was announced, I just got a $70 16 GB memory stick. That way I get to enjoy my old games without having to rebuy them. I do like downloaded games better. It is like buying five copies of the game for the price of one.

WHAAAAT? the psp IMO one is better than the ps2... -clank challenges that take hours to finish all -online multiplayer with 12 serevers all with a chat room, and in-game taunts, did i mention the ranks? -no lag! -hoverboard races and that R&C feel... and the great graphics. i love that game...

the 1000 is sooo awesome I still love mine and wish i still had my 103 but it is indestructable I have broken a few things with it (do not try at home) while it loads stuff but i feel the most wonderful feature of it was a switch to flik to open the umd slot an that lovely slightly rough texture the only reason i got a 3000 is that i wore down the batteries on the 1000
