May all the composers (LBP authors) please rise

I never thought I would have had this much fun judging a contest. In my very personal opinion, music levels are underrated in LBP. If anything was proven through this contest is that they ALL require equal dedication and skill as a great platformer and/or story. I played these levels more times than what I usually do for normal ones. This was due to several reasons. They were delightful to listen to and also because the entries were all so overwhelming competitive with one another. My jaw literally dropped more and more as I kept playing through them. Drool endlessly flowed out of my mouth and I had to look for a couple of Shamwow towels to clean the PS3 after I finished judging. Thankfully, no harm was done to the console. Everything from great classics to new and upbeat levels made their way into the entry list. Innovative techniques used to emit the author’s creativity went head to head with original and ingenious concepts that never seize to amaze. Take your respective bows as roses cascade from the cheering public. The whole LittleBIGPlanet community willingly performs a standing ovation for all of you and your masterpieces.

Sound the trumpets!!!

The winner of the LittleBIGReviewers’ May trophy competition (‘Musical May’ is:

Zelda Music Boxes by oLMCo

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You won a LBR Platinum Trophy

For a music level, it is a quite the unique hybrid. It is a music level at its core, but with platforming tied into it. You venture around as if you would in the original Zelda and have the remarkably nostalgic and elaborate songs playing in the background. The visuals are quite appealing as well. The level’s design serves multiple purposes since it generates a world where several players may take part in it without affecting the music’s integrity and at the same time allows the author to integrate gameplay. The gameplay itself is also varied. You walk, jump, grab, swing and swim throughout it. This level accomplished yet another feat. It contains not 1, 2 or even 3 songs. It has a total of 4 incredibly crafted music boxes; which replicate the game’s soundtrack’s without fail. The design of these music boxes allows the players to listen to their favorite songs over and over again without having to restart the level. These music boxes would have had normally been divided into four separate levels, but the author was crafty enough to fit them into one. If that were not enough, the author provides the hard work as prizes at the end for all to use as they please.

I usually provide a Best of the Best List, but I felt that it would have been disrespectful on my part since ALL OF YOU were so close. Consider yourselves equally competitive and talented. All of your levels were hearted and the authors will be soon too as well.

Special thanks goes to all who entered the competition.

Note: A photo of myself (TOWERS_85_87) and for some of you mcrox has been uploaded to each level respectively.

Oh wow? thank you very much, I didn?t expect to win anything.
Glad you enjoyed the level.

And also thanks to every one else that entered. I didn?t see one bad level in that list, any one could have won.

It does feel good to know that something Ive made brings enjoyment to people, that?s why I made originally made it? not to just win something.

So big thanks to TOWERS_85_87 and every body at LittleBIGReviewers, also every one else that participated.

Yes! Awesome oLMCo! Your music level truly did shine above the rest because of it's innovation. Me and Comishguy were playing all of the listed music levels last night, and we both knew you would win. If you didn't win, the next in line would've been IceMaiden's, because of the way the music blends in with the visuals so masterfully.

There were no bad music levels. All of them were fun, and some made me laugh. You even managed to get Chaaruzu in there, which is surprising since he doesn't play LBP anymore.
