I remember hearing hardly nothing at all, as most of the files are saved on the disc and the game will just save the values relating to those textures/objects/etc.2008-10-08 00:49:00

haha, I would assume you would need quite a bit of space if you are a developer.
The textures and what not are there, but custom creation, vertex etc can pile up, especially if you are considering a larger level or creation even.

Im glad I bought a 320gb hdd =D

I heard that the levels themselves will be extremely tiny, like a few megabytes maybe? Custom stickers etc. are what take up the space.2008-10-08 03:27:00

it is probably just a text file, with coordinates etc.. that's they way a lot of save games are now-a-days.
spore has a great creature save, 48x48 png picture file, 32bits, with 8 unused bits where they store what parts you use.
they are getting really creative with the save games, i like it.

Everyone is right. The levels you build take up very little space. If you use custom stickers, images taken from your pseye, then you will have less space to work with on the actual level. If you reuse the same image over and over again it shouldn't be counted as more than one. I plan on having 3 different colors/textures in one image and save space that way.2008-10-10 06:17:00

Glad to hear it, I have a 60GB but cannot afford to have it full of LBP levels. Media Molecule are so clever.2008-10-11 09:53:00
