I like the heart system for the most part. The problem with it that I see, is that they made it a recorded number. Basically just another ranking system. I don't think hearting should be removed, it should simply not be counted and shown publically. This would make hearting a personal system used only for marking levels you like, as intended, and not a way to flaunt the prestige of your level.

True, but what I mean is that there should be no count of how many people hearted the level, that's it. Once you start counting how many people heart it, it becomes another public rating, rather than a just a way for people to personally say they like something. Once you give someone a rating they will do anything to make it as high as possible, most of the time.

Hearts are also a way for someone to see how good a level is (play:heart ratio). Personally, I like being able to see how many hearts my level has gotten- it makes me want to make the level better so I can get more.

Hearting should be showed, no doubt in my mind. Maybe not be considered such a large stat or (for lack of a better term) "component of level greatness." I believe it should be taken off the top of the level badge, and just put on the stats page. It would cause less of a problem, but then it wouldn't be as easy to campare. If that's what you'd normally do... Searching others' hearted page still has to be an available option though.

That's a pretty good idea too. Or maybe a list of who hearted it? Maybe not, but we already have the star rating system, so we don't need hearts to show how good our level is.

People will abuse everything. Like freedom through Christ, or pets. It's good to make things less abused though, and I thought of a way to make the hearting system less abused. The rating system is for another thread.

I really don't know what to think of the heart system. H4H needs to not continue with LBP2, but I like being able to see the number of hearts. I haven't been keeping up to date with every little LBP2 detail, but I heard hearts are being changed to stars. But not a real difference if they work the same. Then we'll be seeing S4S, lol. So I wonder how MM would solve this and still have a count. They could not include a trophy for it, but then I doubt that will end H4H. I'm sure half of H4H's out there don't even care about the trophy, but simply want more hearts. Either way I don't see a way around it unless there is no count and personal, which I don't like. EDIT: The current star rating system is flawed too, people giving low ratings based on if a level is too hard for them has long been frowned upon.
