Ok right here we go - Lost in darkness

Right guys, im thinkin of a really cool level which is mainly influenced by the game dead space ( a game which i do not own ) As you've probably guessed my level is based in space *round of applause for inginuity* which is set in the year 2213, i am hoping to gain the skill to create a boss which is like a security system. So the story line:

You are apart of the cabin crew of a spaceship which has overcome to a disaster, everyone has dissapeared and you wake up in the detention centre on the cold floor. Then the usual occurs, traps, puzzles tense moments,yeah pretty much the usual lol. If you lot have any suggestions for this level, please feel free to rub your creative genius dust on me plz

Yes ive seen your level and its cleverly done. You got the inspiration from portal didnt you. Ive played portal on xbox and i have to say your level was 1. whiter than the original lol and 2. easier than the original, which isnt really a suprise . oh dear i'm starting to sound like a nutcase now *wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee i'm a pony* but seriously now i appreciate the avice and i was actually thinkin bout your level before i noticed that you had commented on my thread. Thanks !!!

well i was thinking about arm-like turrets that shoot at you through the level ( if i can) and then at the end you battle the boss in the security mainframe, i havent thought about what the boss will look like, but i am in the process of drawing some and seeing which ones are best suited to the enviroment of a deserted spaceship ( and which one i could build with the restricted create tools. I might have to make this level into 2 parts so i can fit more stuff in . Thanks for the comment btw. It really helps

I've been thinking about how the security system could attack you during the level:
1) Certain doors could be locked down (get through them before they close?) This will make the player move in a specific path. You could set off a one shot mechanism to make a door stay closed after the player goes near the door.
2) The sec system could also lure you into traps by closing down these doors and opening others. Cue the puzzles!
3) You could just have a turret arm like you said, and have it smashing through the ceiling and attacking you. To make pieces of shrapnel fly out, set up a few emitters and make them emit shrapnel when the arm comes down.

Ummmmm. yea , that could work.Yes these ideas could work, im already visualising how i could do the turret thing breaking throught the roof, let me explain :

I will have 2 pieces of dinamic metal in a gap in the rough held on by bolds and glued together with dissovable material and have a magnetic key on the turret and the other part on the material. The emmiter stuff is a good idea with also being activatied using the magnetic key. I will also have an emmiter on the turret which will shoot red electricty. and then the main boss will come later thanx for the iideas and i will work on those locked in doors Thanks, and i hope my level will be a success :star:
