Separate PS3 threads from PSP ?

Archive: 9 posts

One thing I'm finding really annoying about the site now is all the PSP related threads mixed among the PS3 ones when you look at the 'What's New' pages. The first thing I look at is a thread title and if one catches my interest I start reading it. It's then a real pain when I realise at some point it's for PSP which I have absolutely no interest in whatsoever.

I know you have the forum that threads are posted in at the other end of the line but that doesn't really catch your eye.

It would be much simpler and easier to differentiate between them if the title threads were highlighted in a different colour. At the moment they are all RED. Could you maybe change one of them to BLUE. i.e. Have all PS3 related threads with BLUE titles and PSP ones in RED or vice versa ?

It would save a lot of wasted time reading through threads we're not interested in and make ones we are interested in much easier to find.

Thanks.

Would it be possible to add a little PSP icon next to the thread titles? I think that would be useful, even for people who have both versions.2010-05-31 15:15:00

Examples?

I mean the PSP version has its own subforums, and I often move PSP threads into those forums, when there's one which is appropriate. I know the Help! forums doesn't have a PSP equivalent, but that tends to cover all sorts of topics, occasionally beyond the scope of either version of LBP.

I believe Mistervista is talking about the 'What's New? (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/search.php?searchid=194545)'. All the threads there are all together in one group. The only way to tell them apart is by looking to the right. Changing the colour or grouping them apart, would make it much easier.

(Correct me if I'm wrong MrV)

That's exactly right Doopz. Thanks for clarifying that. I thought I'd explained it well enough but obviously not.

I've edited the first post to make that more clear.

Have you considered checking the "Forum:" listing on the right-hand side before clicking a thread? That will tell you with a quick glance whether the thread is for PS3 or PSP.2010-05-31 19:08:00

Yes I did mention that in my second paragraph. It's just that using separate colours would make it so much more noticeable.

Yes i agree with mistervista, i've found myself makind various posts wich i thought to be right just to find out it was a PSP forum thread and i'm completly wrong as the PSP version is quite different fomr PS3's.

So a way to make the difference more noticable i agree on!

Thanks for the support. That's it precisely. I've spent 20-30 minutes replying to a thread before and have even posted it before noticing it was PSP related. Then I've had to go back in and delete the post altogether. No fun and a complete waste of my time. Very annoying when a simple colour change could save all that bother in the first place.
