God, I love and miss this show. It was so disturbing in such a funny and awesome way.

I know that there were reruns in March on Nick, I heard that if they got enough views they would make season 2, is that true?

"The show Invader Zim was canceled for the following reasons:
1. Parents never liked the show and thought it was too dark and violent for children.
2. It didn't attract the age group it was supposed to. It was basically made for 9 to 12-year-olds but was liked by teenagers and adults.
3. There is a hidden image of GIR covered in blood in some of the episodes. You can see it clearly in the opening of "Mortos Der Soulstealer".
4. Nickelodeon kept making Jhonen Vasquez, the creator of Invader Zim, add changes in the episodes and Jhonen got sick of it and quit.

I read something with Jhonen, he was talking about Invader Zim, and apparently Nickelodeon approached him and they wanted something that was "edgy". Apparently, Nickelodeon and Jhonen have different ideas of edgy (Rocket Power, anyone?). To be honest, the show was a little too much for me when I was 10. Now I wish they were still making new episodes.

I love the show, but I won't disagree with you on that one. It's mostly the hot topic crew, who try to act dark, mysterious, and quirky all at the same time while secretly being huge nerds. I absolutely love the show, but it's humor doesn't work out of the context of the show, imo. And trying to act like Gir will make you sound like a ****** bag. Invader Zim isn't so much about the jokes as it is about the great delivery.		2010-05-31 01:30:00
