Yeah dude, I honestly cannot BELIEVE it's taken this long for these to come up, and the fact that there's information here I haven't heard yet. I mean I stopped following some of the speculation threads after a week, but there are some fantastic tidbits in here. I remember hearing of the X-ray filter, but you can also do an "outline" vector filter. Think of a pane of glass you can put over stuff and it'll only show the outlines of anything behind it. It says you could essentially recreate a fully working Asteroids arcade cabinet in one of your levels using this. Plus, even some art and screenshots I haven't seen yet. This is possibly troubling: the more traffic you drive to your level pages on lbp.me, the more the level will be "promoted" publicly, the more visible it will become to players. I'm sure that H4H will be done away with for the most part, but with every single player and creator essentially having a web-page, we might see a ridiculous amount of self-promotional spamming to drive traffic up. People will probably go pretty far to get hits on their level pages. anyway, they also give a cool example of a Direct Control seat idea, where 2 players each control different parts of a sackbot or machine. could do lots of cool co-op levels with that in place. Maybe all of this is old by now, but I've been a bit out of the loop. but seriously, I think these and full Game Informer scans should have been online on day 1. | 2010-05-23 21:02:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
Yay! Finally someone scanned this! I posted screenshots of the article with my camera but they weren't very good. YAY! | 2010-05-23 21:03:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |

The most popular levels don't need to be more promoted. It's useless and could simply re-do the Cool Levels Pages problems. Also, they need to stop teaching the player that CREATING = COMPETITION for F's sake. . | 2010-05-23 23:30:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

Yeah dude, I honestly cannot BELIEVE it's taken this long for these to come up, and the fact that there's information here I haven't heard yet. They've been out for at least a week and a half. I posted one of the scans in the thread about magic gloves/bag. I figured you guys had seen them. :> I never noticed the Sackboy on top of the giant flying horse machine, though. It has parts from Da Vinci's flying machine designs. Why nobody does the same with that of Game Informer? I could scan GameInformer, but it's not worth it since it's the same screenshots we've all seen and all the info has already been posted before. | 2010-05-24 00:54:00 Author: jjmusicman Posts: 234 |
