Hey I don't know if this has been suggested(no pun ) but since LBP2 has been announced I think suggestions for the first are a little useless at this stage. The LBP1 suggestion forum seems to be getting a lot of suggestions that LBP2 already has. Then there is the fact an LBP2 suggestion forum exists now which I think is more the place to be suggesting these days anyway. If MM are going to look somewhere it is perhaps there? I just think MM aren't going to focus on updating LBP1 any more really, maybe a few costumes here and there but we know those cross over. In terms of mechanics and tools I think they will all be saved for part 2 making 90% of what is suggested irrelevant. I'd say these are better said in the LBP2 speculation suggestions forum, which might in turn kill off some threads suggesting features that are already know to be in LBP2. What do you guys think?

Yeah creating new threads on that section is pointless. imo it might be better to just lock making threads but not lock posting on threads.

There is still almost a half a year before it gets to the time period lbp2 could be released. So there is still probably some things coming to lbp1, and dlc for lbp1 might continue even after release awhile too. Closing the lbp1 suggestions forum isnt needed.

I can see what your saying but from interviews and stuff I get hints most stuff is being saved for LBP2. There was a question in an LBP2 faq about the sephiroth costume and they hinted at them coming eventually *cough* LBP2 *cough*. Probably a ploy to get more people to buy, who wouldn't? I think that half a year is going to be dedicated to the production of LBP2 and getting it ready, so far I haven't got the vibe of they are ahead of schedule or anything. It seems a tight target to hit so I think they won't have time for LBP1 additions at this stage. Plus why would they give LBP1 anything new when they can save all the new features for LBP2 and generate more sales? It is a business after all. As I said I think costumes will continue because they are totally compatible with LBP2 and in fairness don't really add much to the game save variety for your avatars appearance which isn't very game changing. Not the case in LBP2, all the more reason to spoil us with costumes and then waggle all the new stuff you can do with them in LBP2. Suggestions like new button functions, water materials, gravity, sticker tools, cool page tweaks etc. These are all possible in LBP2 bar a water material that you can swim in which just is not going to happen period. Not saying it is impossible, but I think that would be something for LBP2 if it is going to happen which i still doubt. The fact most of these things are coming to LBP2 why would they give them to LBP1? Seems kind of backwards to me. They will be looking to make maximum profit as well as delivering a killer game, so I think that all these new features will have to be saved for the sequel.

I doubt anything big will be released because of lbp2's tight release date like you said, but there might be a little sticker pack or costumes every now and then. Until they say "There is nothing else coming to lbp1, go buy lbp2 now" theres no reason to close the suggestions forum

I second that idea, if they're gonna release anything more for LBP1 my guess is they're gonna release it wether the suggestions are there or not. Most likely (my guess) is they're gonna take the suggestions for LBP1 that they like and add them in LBP2 instead anyways, why would they add something good for the "was" when they can add it to the "will be," no? Like said before, at most my guess its just gonna be some costumes that's all, wich like i already said, is probably gonna be release wether it was sugested by someone or not. I mean, really have you seen anything really interesting being added to the game in the past few months? Exactly...
