Probably one of the best levels i've ever created, and one of the longest too, lol
Water, Rides, Obstacles, more rides, oh and did i say obstacles? plus newly added, a surprise ending
Give this level a try, and let me know what you really think,

Thank you Aeroforce22 for teaching me how to attach pics

oh, and if anyone can explain how to get pictures out of lbp, that'd be great...

To get pictures off your PS3 and onto the computer, a flashdrive would be nice to have (that's how I do it at least). Take a sticker picture in-game, save it, then open it up in your popit and hit "export" I think. Then send it to your HDD and load it onto a flashdrive from there. ^^ Hope that helps.

I'll go play your level right now and I'll be back with a review. ;D

EDIT With Review:

I really loved your level, but first, the negatives (all opinions, which is good because it's not technical problems). The whole desert canyon theme is the only theme from the story mode that I don't like, and that's what made up the first half of the level. You made it bearable though, which I applaud you for. ;D It was cute that's for sure. The whole mine cart ride (albeit short) was also visually appealing. Then the winter theme hit me outta nowhere. xD That was cool. I remember the candle "maze" and that strange elevator contraption (what a great idea) the most and they definitely inspired me. Because of this, I gave you a :star::star::star::star::star: and tagged it with Multi-Path (because I could see so many other paths I just wanted to go to badly xD).

lol ty for cc, it all started out as a canyon theme, and then i thought it was alittle dried up, so i decided to turn it into something colder and more mysterious, now i just really need to figure out how to end it... any ideas?2010-05-20 03:54:00

I thought the ending was good as it is. If you mean by extend it, I have no idea. I'm actually currently blank on ideas for the next portion of my own level in progress. xD2010-05-20 03:55:00

I really liked your level. The beginning was ok, resembled the canyons theme from story mode alot.
The platforming was well done. although at certain places I missed a few jumps due to the camera angle. An example is the big bridge that collapses after you pass it. Might be just my bad platforming, but I had serious trouble on the first 2 boards to see where I had to land
Soon after that I ran into the scoreboard, but I remembered I had seen a path going down a little ways back, so I decided to go there. I ended up under water and while going down I heard the sound of enemies die and kept getting bubbles?
Everytime I went up or down it kept happening. Dunno what that was?
Anyways, I thought this area could use 1 or 2 lights extra, was a bit dark in my opinion.
The mine cart ride that followed was really cool! Well done on that.
The ice area that followed was beautifull. A bit odd after the canyons theme perhaps, but it looked cool, so it didn't bug me
I got stuck on the elevator part though. I pulled the switch and something came down above. I went up there, but had no clue as how to progress. I tried jumping on it, pulling it, but to no effect. I eventually managed to get the chain to take me up there to get stuck up on above. So I basically eliminated my changes to finish the level

I'll definately play this level again, I just want to finish it

5:star: from me.

If you got time can you leave feedback on my F4F level in my sig? thanks.

1)
Score Bubbles on the burning ground? your mad o.O

2)
I think you might be missing a sound effect on one of the planks of the bridge that comes down after you cross it

Very cool level, overall, great ^.^

5 Stars/Hearted.

Please check out either of my two levels when you get the chance,
Cheers!

Very neat level. Nice visuals, especially at the end. There were a few bugs, for instance, at the end of the level, where you get to the clouds, if you go to the right you can jump off and land in the play area and accidently touch a checkpoint, causing the level to be unbeatable. I think you should block off the cloud area entirely with dark matter so no one can jump out. The part where the minecart was was also very very dark and foggy, I think you should make it a little brighter or add more lights. Great length as well, and same great gameplay.

I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

Can you leave feedback on Farewell Ruins of the Moon: Chapter One (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=26787-Farewell-Ruins-of-the-Moon-Chapter-One) by AbstractSam? Thanks.

Wanted to let you know I checked this level out the other day and you've got some great stuff going on in it.

The first part with the wood and great layer usage was my favorite part. Your geometry looked nice in that section especially. Most of the level has some really strong platforming too which I always like to play.

I think my only complaint/criticism is that in terms of materials and style the level sort of changed a lot. You start out with those great wood tones then change up your materials and colors to light blues and yellows with those big red candles sort of sitting on the floor. Just felt like a pretty jarring change from the first part of the level. If your planning on working on more levels, which I think you should - you've got some really good creator skills going so far, try and keep in mind your overall level theme or if you change up materials/colors maybe a more subtle transition or have the new style somehow bring some of then old stuff into it somehow. It will make the level feel like a whole rather than a few level chunks put together which is the vibe I'm getting on this one.

Still 5 stars from me as your craftsmanship is good and the platforming was very entertaining. Looking forward to more work from you! Thanks!

Great stuff!
:star::star::star::star::star:<3

Long level, visually excellent, nice use of materials and layers, great gameplay and nice rides (love the sled and carriage thing). Overall, excellent thoroughly enjoyed it.
I didn't like the way it was required to hit off the fire to get extra bubbles (i could be doing it wrong)
There wasn't any dialogue - personally i like a few speech bubbles but doesn't really matter.
i like the way you change environments and themes.
The underwater part could use a bit more direction, i like darkness but for a while i was confused as to what to do, some things were hard to make out like air bubbles (maybe contradictory as i use pitch darkness in my level(s)).
the carts seem to be unlimited in the underwater section and they have brains attached. i destroyed a couple but i'm not sure how - potentially a way to take advantage to get high scores

if i think of anything else i'll edit here

Overall, I felt that this level was a mixed bag of goodies and generic toys. I'll explain that statement in detail later, but I will point out that despite my feedback, criticism, or praise, I overall gave the level :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3.

Ok, specifically, let me discuss the bridge...now, you have a couple, so in particular it is the bridge with eerie sounds as Sackboy lands on each plank. Now, when you traverse the bridge and end up by the spawn point on the other side, the sound of the bridge cracking (after it falls) can be repeated multiple times because it seems like it is set to proximity. Now, this is REALLY minor, but I just wanted to point this out because I feel that attaching it to a switch could make things a lot better. Again, it's a minor gripe, but still something to check out and help you.

Ok, I now must go into detail about why I thought this level was a mixed bag of sorts:

Well, while I feel that the visuals are quite impressive (especially after the level changes from fire to ice), and while the gameplay was enjoyable and solid, I felt like the level as a whole was extremely unoriginal. And honestly this is my largest and only complaint about the level. While playing this level, even from the beginning, I felt like I had played the level before. Now, I know that pretty much all games take elements of previous games (same thing with LBP levels), I feel that truly good levels set themselves apart with originality. Sure, while everything in Exploration Land is visually appealing and great gameplay-wise (I can tell MaxFromLi spent a ton of time on it), it all seems to be rehashed versions of previous levels. The great thing about LBP is that people can use ideas to create their own. Hell, even I do it. Still, I feel that Exploration Land doesn't really do anything new, and if I had a criticism of LBPCentral, that would be it. It's great to feed off one another's ideas, but a problem arises when there are no original thoughts or ideas present.

Now, I realize that I went on a huge tangent unoriginality in Max's level, and that it's somewhat unfair to individually single him out. I still gave him 5 stars and a heart. Nonetheless, I felt like expressing this somehow. While LBPCentral is a great outlet to receive feedback and transfer ideas, I sometimes feel that levels really lose originality. My hope is that this doesn't continue with LBP2.

And feel free to criticize me. Go play my level and I'm sure you'll find many things about it that are "copies," if you will, of previous levels and ideas. But maybe that IS the problem. Maybe everyone (myself included) never takes enough time to discover new mechanics or ideas. It's extremely rare when I find an LBP level that does something purely original. I think I can name maybe five levels tops that created a world that is entirely different from everything out there.

I'm ranting so much right now it must be crazy to read on Max's showcase thread. Max, realize that I enjoyed your level a lot. But simply put, I didn't find anything refreshing (except the change from fire to ice), and I'm using that as an excuse to ramble on about LBPCentral in general. And I really enjoy LBPCentral, it's just that I think sometimes people don't create things using their own imagination anymore.

But back to the level, I will also add that the music worked really well and highlighted the different areas and paces of your gameplay elements. Good job and you really do have a great level, Max. Sorry if I kinda hijacked your thread, though. Hopefully I didn't come across as a ******. If I did, note that it was directed toward the community in general (no one in particular, and I feel bad if I used your thread as the platform for my message...I apologize).
