Zone of the Enders (beta 1 out now)

This'll probably roll into LBP2 when it comes out (I'm feening for direct control), but I'll update accordingly. Depending on how crazy Stem Cell Sackboy gets throughout the year, I'll be working on this every once in awhile. The current version of Jehuty is much more stable than the one found in the video and visual effects do look much nicer, on top of having the health bar system in place. I'm looking to make it a lot easier than previous level outings (granted it never happens, lol) with a proper training mode before jumping into full blown levels.

Based on the awesome mecha series by Konami, Zone of the Enders for LBP will probably just have short "VR" missions attempting to replicate some of the battles found in ZOE1 & 2... and maybe some cameos from Fist of Mars.

Anubis is progressing better than I thought. All I need to do is tweak its balance a little more in regards to movement, but its wings haven't put a damper on the the movement. I just need to work on the Raptors and maybe another enemy and I can start on a full blown level. =)

I'm also working on melee limits and pushback on the enemies and Jehuty if they get hit several times in succession, for more of visual kick. I've also come up with a workaround for the random player crushing. ^^

Vids will come soon, preferably before E3.

Some updates:

- Both enemy and player pushback reaction to multiple hits is implemented and it works wonderfully. Makes the enemies seem more organic during battle.
- Thanks to that above, I am currently implementing a "Zero Shift" like boost to Jehuty. Nothing crazy, but it will help in tracking down faster enemies or speeding through the level. Only lateral boosting will be used. The visual effect I'm working on looks pretty sweet so far. =)
- Raptors are pretty much complete. Anubis is making lots of progress. Will probably start on Nephtis soon after.
- Accidental player crushing has been resolved in a roundabout way. No more premature game overs.
- More visual tweaks to Jehuty and its weapons systems.
- Shield is still being worked on.

The beta should be updated pretty soon with the Raptors at least.
