Multiplayer CP Fix

So now that LBP2 is coming I got to thinking of all the major problems I hope they would fix, and one of those is how in multiplayer if someone dies the camera throws itself to the cp thus causing unnecessary deaths for the other player(s).

Sure, if you're far enough away it won't do this. But the problem is now that if you made a level that turns the cp is still too close, plus to make a level more playable without this problem you have to place the CP large distances away from obstacles.

So I'm hoping MM will either make it where all players need to die before CP spawns or at least make that an option, or something that can fix that problem. This isn't just my personal nitpick. This is something tons of people mention on a regular basis. So surely MM is aware of this. Anyone that plays the game multiplayer should be aware of this problem.

What are you opinions of this? Anyone else hope that MM fixes the multiplayer camera issues for CP spawning? I've met a lot of people that do, but never asked the LBPC community about their opinions on this topic.

Mm said it would be possible to create competitive multiplayer games, which makes me think they're ditching the awkward camera orientation and giving everyone their own camera.
I hope they allow splitscreen in local multiplayer.

It would seem much more logical to make it an option to the creator. It would seem highly unlikely that they would ditch the current camera, it may have its issues, but it works. Plus, the current camera helps keep the action focused. Giving creators both camera options would be much more favorable. The splitscreen idea could cause some interesting checkpoint problems, though.

Anyway, more on topic, maybe there should be some kind of proximity option for checkpoints so that players will only respawn if a player is within the designated area. However, I don't think it's that big of a deal. A minor annoyance, really.

I agree, making it an option at the least. The proximity thing is a good idea. I was thinking of that as an idea also. As for being a minor annoyance, I can see where it would be for a lot of players. But people that play hard levels, especially levels through the expert community (not just that community, but pointing that out as a major one) will say different.

The camera issue is overall a major one, even causing players to often have to put a 1p recommended in level description. When I say major I mean gameplay related. Going by overall fixes the game needs, it's not major. I explained that last part so you would know I'm not saying your opinion of it being minor is wrong since sometimes my posts come across wrong. Just to a certain portion of the community. ^_^
