Alright.. i noticed this the other day! in the bottom right corner! There is a gravity setting! ![]() we'll be able to tweak the gravity in LBP 2! Awesome ![]() http://ps3media.ign.com/ps3/image/article/108/1088515/littlebigplanet-2-20100510062017513_640w.jpg | 2010-05-15 22:51:00 Author: Kaboom ![]() Posts: 172 |

This was actually in LBP 1, alpha, but it never got through. So was wind. | 2010-05-16 09:43:00 Author: DanC ![]() Posts: 433 |

Erm...no it wasnt ![]() Yes it was. This was actually in LBP 1, alpha, but it never got through. So was wind. I went to Media Molecule and played it myself. In the alpha version as I said, the first version that was approved by Sony, they had gravity and wind, they were really fun to play with, but very buggy, so they scrapped them. I also saw gravity in action in LBP2, and it looks very awesome indeed. | 2010-05-16 12:25:00 Author: DanC ![]() Posts: 433 |
okay they probably was gravity change in LBP1. *sigh* | 2010-05-16 12:31:00 Author: Jovuto ![]() Posts: 2345 |
How did people miss that detail in there? A word Gravity in the lower corner... That rung my awesomeness bells right away! ![]() | 2010-05-16 19:26:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
WOW that is so cool now people can create a space level without using jetpacks ![]() | 2010-05-16 19:35:00 Author: Arnald23 ![]() Posts: 1843 |
That's awesome! I seriously, cannot wait for this game. But didn't anybody notice how cool the popit looks with those colors? ![]() | 2010-05-16 20:39:00 Author: TheZimInvader ![]() Posts: 3149 |

Can't wait. It can be like swimming through water without water. Amazing! | 2010-05-16 20:54:00 Author: talbot-trembler ![]() Posts: 1114 |
This is awesome but there is 1 problem... Zero-G bomb survivals! | 2010-05-16 22:19:00 Author: cheesemuffins99 ![]() Posts: 102 |

I could swear that it was said that they couldn't add gravity/physics changes if they were including LBP1 levels; and that they created a work-around in that you can control a sackbot who's gravity settings are different than that of a regular sackboy. | 2010-05-18 03:01:00 Author: KBling ![]() Posts: 35 |
We've been discussing the existence of a gravity object in some place or other, which might attach to a specific object and give it its own gravity settings compared to the rest of the level. This would explain a bit of how the dragonfly thingy flies. | 2010-05-18 19:55:00 Author: Holguin86 ![]() Posts: 875 |

LBP1 levels will just use the default gravity settings, so there shouldn't be a problem there, hopefully. There was also a screenshot knocking around the forums where gravity showed up in the global settings for the level. | 2010-05-18 20:12:00 Author: rtm223 ![]() Posts: 6497 |
imagine a anti grav panel that allow to you to walk in the roft, plus with zero grav you can walk in the walls(this will be useful for Dead Space Levels) | 2010-05-19 19:32:00 Author: armando92 ![]() Posts: 6 |
I just saw the video that had this picture in it. Lol, so excited for this game! ![]() | 2010-05-20 03:48:00 Author: Mastadom ![]() Posts: 195 |

Hmmm... LittleBigPlanet + Super Mario Galaxy... LittleBigGalaxy! ![]() My exact thoughts ![]() I'd love to see a level like this and it was the main thing I thought of when I saw the release of LBP2 - now we just hope it's possible ![]() | 2010-05-20 23:29:00 Author: Coxy224 ![]() Posts: 2645 |
I really hope they make a demo soon. | 2010-05-26 17:32:00 Author: Zerra ![]() Posts: 1 |
I am gonna make a star wars level using this gravity and make alot of sackbots that look like clone troopers. Its gonna be epic. | 2010-05-26 18:07:00 Author: DrPepper96 ![]() Posts: 65 |
This is awesome but there is 1 problem... Zero-G bomb survivals! Yeah ok they would get a bit annoying. But u've got to admit, that would be freakin awesome! Weird space monster survival? Spaceship bomb survival? Oh wait... I'm boring myself now lol | 2010-05-30 21:13:00 Author: bs58qw ![]() Posts: 59 |
Gravity won't be tweakable to Super Mario Galaxy levels unless Mm implements isolating magnets to allow you to draw gravity to a certain object or area that can be switched on and off. If we had that feature, the community could easily trump SMG2 in its level design in a 2D perspective. | 2010-05-31 06:16:00 Author: jjmusicman ![]() Posts: 234 |

I also saw gravity in action in LBP2, and it looks very awesome indeed. Is there any evidence of this? Links perhaps? The only thing I've heard of that was scrapped from LBP1 was Ice. Which I'm hoping makes a reappearance in LBP2. imagine a anti grav panel that allow to you to walk in the roft, plus with zero grav you can walk in the walls(this will be useful for Dead Space Levels) I doubt you will be able to have zero gravity, although that would be pretty sweet, possibly like swimming in water, minus the water! Lol. Hmmm... LittleBigPlanet + Super Mario Galaxy... LittleBigGalaxy! ![]() | 2010-05-31 13:53:00 Author: Stephanie_Ravens ![]() Posts: 188 |
I doubt that you'll be able to put the Gravity to 0%. I mean, what would happen to the water in the level? ![]() | 2010-05-31 15:37:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Yeah, like Isakultivate said. i don't think you'll be able to make it so you float around, just decrease it so you jump higher, can pick up heavier objects, etc. I'm surprised none of you thought of reversing it, so objects would be heavier. It wouldn't be as fun as lower gravity, but it could prove to be useful. Another thing I'm hoping is that you can change the gravity throughout the level, kinda like a Global Lighting tool, but for gravity. or perhaps they'll just add a gravity function to the Global Lighting tool. | 2010-06-02 02:03:00 Author: srgt_poptart ![]() Posts: 425 |

That would not be a bad idea, it may help greatly with many creations. Seeing as a few levels that use vehicles with heavy materials to make the vehicle look well put together, causing it to slow down ever so slightly. The global lighting tool you mention will probably change it's name to "Global Control Tool" or something. | 2010-06-03 21:26:00 Author: ShadowSearo ![]() Posts: 2 |
What I think most people want with " Tweakable Gravity " is the ability to make Sackboy run up a wall or in the ceiling. And using water you can probably get a pretty nice low/high gravity effect. | 2010-06-03 21:54:00 Author: jakpe ![]() Posts: 84 |
I hope there is a global gravity switch or something like the global water & Lighting ![]() So I can invite friends and quickly hop in a Direct Control Seat and change the gravity so they get crushed by such high gravity >=D | 2010-06-07 13:21:00 Author: Jord-bord ![]() Posts: 153 |

this will be awesome for one of the Lost Ages levels ive been planning. Basically, an age thats been largely destroyed by "the nothing". | 2010-06-07 22:29:00 Author: Deftmute ![]() Posts: 730 |

Zero-G bomb survivals! I see the idea being worn out in a few days after release. Oh wait, so did all other bomb survivals... | 2010-06-09 14:29:00 Author: Boxworth ![]() Posts: 9 |
