Advie for a non-creator to be able to start creating?

Archive: 14 posts

Hi everyone.

Me and my brother got little big planet a year ago and we love it. My brother has all of the trophies except create and i've never made anything worth talking about. I have loads of ideas for level's but when i reach create mode i dont know what to do or have what i need to make it. I'm starting from the begging and have been struggleing for my entire time on little big planet. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me?

Thanks

P.S: The name had a miss spelling. I know how the spell advice i just typed it wrong.
There are other mistakes to. (:

-Start creating random stuff at first, get used to all the tools and to creating itself.

- Finish the tutorials it helps a lot and there's some stuff you can only unlock by finishing the tutorials.

-PThink up a specific theme, what do you want your level to be, water, fire, simple walk in the park, remember to follow this theme throughout the level and it should help think up what to do along the way.

-Try sketching some stuff you want to build, its easier to build something if you already have a basic idea on what you wanna build.

Well, thos are some basic step.
Hope that helps!

Hello.

I'm not really the type of person thats en expert on creating, but I would suggest listening and watching all the tutorials first and then little by little start using new tools. The more you create, the more you can do and the easier it becomes. Hopefully you and your brother will be able to make some awesome levels.

Have fun

Quite a bit off topic, but since you asked the green squares are linked to rep points. For the most part each square equates to 100 rep points. (I think past the 5th bar it is like 250 per bar) Rep is getting thanked as well as getting positive rep via that little 6 sided star thingie on each post and selecting "I approve" rather than "I disapprove". Here is a link that is helpful. (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=1703-FAQ-Reputation-System)

What other things about LBPC? Well.. staying on topic is important. No worries as you circled back on topic. Maybe next time just refrain and do a search as there are quite a number of threads that asked that same thing, or possibly just create a new thread if you don't find one.

Have a good one and congrats on getting better! Some of those tutorials are amazingly helpful. Sorta wish I had some of those when I started as it was pretty painful learning all that on my own.

The little green bars show your reputation. I'm pretty sure 1 bar=0-100 points, 2 bars=101-200points etc. You can see how much Rep you have by clicking "Settings" up the top right. You can give and recieve rep in 2 ways either from the "Thanks" button or the little star button under each post.

Hmmm other important things.
The title above your avatar changes depending on how many posts you have.
If you want to make a spoiler,

you can do it by typing

Anyway there's heaps of stuff around here to help you become a better creator, my advice would be to just have good long look around the place.

So welcome to LBPC junkyardassissan

play some community levels and look what makes them fun

Use the corner editor, it will be your best friend

Try to use all layers
