This thread is more for those who haven't bought costumes yet... I mean, I have only bought one costume pack so far, and that was the Shadof of the Colossus pack which came with pretty useful sound effects. But now that we can use the costumes on sackbots, I think I'm going to buy some more just to have some better story characters for my levels. I already have some sackboys (which will be sackbots) designed but I think they could use a little bit more dlc. So, are you going to buy some costumes?

I agree. I have MGS,Monsters,Animals/More Animals, PoTC,Ryu, and freebie costumes, but I may buy more for useful costume pieces now

It depends on how much I like certain pieces of the costumes. I know that the PotC costume pack was worth it because almost all the parts could be used in a "non-character specific way". Stuff like the MGS pack won't really be worth my money unless I end up doing a MGS remake (at least from what I can see the pieces being), but I'll certainly be buying some more DLC costumes other than PotC and the free ones. ;D Mm, you all are geniuses in the marketing department.

I think that if we use the capture tool on a sackbot, it'll remember the costume it had. I can already feel my PSN inbox filling up with messages, its bad enough now

This is such a clever move on MM's part. They have realised that there is a bit of a divide between people who buy costumes and people who buy creator packs. Now, giving us the opportunity to use our costumes in level creating it now become a useful asset to use to create levels with, and by all the other tools (and making logic easier), they have given more of a reason to give players a reeason to create. Its a win/win situation.

how are they a waste of money? i guess for people with no creativity...but thats the only people i can think of who cant find a good use for buying costumes....especially now that Mm confirmed that some old costumes will be dynamic come LBP2

I don't think I will, actually I know I wont, for 2 reasons. 1. I'm already quite creative with how I use what I have already. 2. I'm a tight*** with no money and no job. Would be nice to have them though EDIT: Actually I'll be out of school by the time LBP2 come out and have a job. So I will have money and I will be able to buy them.
