BoxGhost Sackboy Doll

I have been trying to make a plush version of my sackperson for probably a year now and failing miserably. I'm making this thread because I think I might have actually succeeded this time!

For those of you who know me, you probably know the sackperson I use, BoxGhost. For those of you who don't know me, meet BoxGhost. She is very friendly and says hello. She is standing on a scientist's shoulder in this photo for some reason:

Anyway, I cheated a bit on this. I went out and bought a white sackperson doll from amazon to make the body because I could NOT get it right. My husband made the box head and I painted the eyes and made the dress. I hope you guys like it. Also, there's a bonus "Ghost" located in the photo. See if you can spot him.

Pretty cool. Is the box head fixed to the doll somehow or does it just stay on like a hat?

@flamingemu: You should never buy a chair like that if you have cats with claws. My parents bought those chairs years ago and I just sorta inherited them. I can't afford chairs like that either.

@gilgamesh: The box has foam in it that makes it stay snug with the sackperson's head. You can take the hat off, too. The sackperson's head is really small, so the padding had to be there to hold it in place. And thanks for the kind words about the avatar. I extended it right after I saw the lbp2 video on monday. ^_^

@everyone: The cat is a good cat. ^_^ I am glad I adopted him. Some of you might have been around when I got him and posted about him, but he was found taped in a fruit box with 15 other cats on the side of a country road. I heard about the story, and I drove down to Kutztown and adopted him right away! When I took that picture, the music was blaring and he was sleeping through it because he is deaf.		2010-05-15 15:10:00

Yeah, joruto, you could probably make yours pretty easily. They've released a plushie of the skeleton, or at least they are releasing it soon. ^_^

Well, I've been working on this for a year because I was actually having a really hard time making the sackperson's body. But then they released those sackboy stuffed animals a little while back and I just bought one of those and used it for the body. After that, it took about a week to make. I sorta wish I made the body myself, but this way was so much easier.

It's funny, I've made so many prototypes for the stupid thing. I can't believe it's finally done. I actually have the original box hanging on my wall from my first prototype.		2010-05-16 04:15:00

Ah that is really cute and looks exactly like box ghost! Your cat is insanely cute too! XD I also hate waking pets up when they are like that, asleep so cute but you just came home and are like ehh should I? I mean pets give a pretty good welcome home but I think also secretly we love giving them a glad to be back so when they are out cold I feel a little big sad.
