Three Dimensional Planets?

Archive: 2 posts

Hello, the tools i have for creating 3-D backgrounds are really hard to work with, I was just wondering if there are better ones I can get and what other people use. Also is there a way to make background objects co-exist with the last thin layer objects?

What i have now: I've gotten these from in game tutorials. I have a 100 layer object, a 50 layer object, a foreground object a background object, and an 11 layer object. But after a certain amount of layers in the background I am unable to use a corner editor on it or glue it down to something, about 10 layers back.

Also I've seen people use story objects in the background??! HOW DO THEY DO THIS?? Is there a way to put your own saved objects in the background? o.o

or maybe can someone who uses this glitch alot help explain a little how exactly they go about creating backgroundss?

these answers would reallllyyyyyy help me as a creator, thanks.

You can emit saved objects into the background. Search TheAdipose and you will find a level with some 3d tools that serve this purpose. They also have a video too here:

Should explain it better than I could type lol. Thanks TheAdipose!

As for using something in the background and the back thin, well I am pretty sure you can so long as said bg object is attached to the one in the back thin, this can be done by drawing a tiny dot of dark matter(or another material if you wish) that cuts through the back thin and also into you bg object, this join them as 1 object.

Not sure on finding better tools like shapes, just search around, I cannot speak of any off the top of my head. Mostly I emit stuff back there.

Hopefully this helps, good luck!
