Problems With The Game?

Archive: 18 posts

I have not been included in the beta but, by watching the videos online there looks like there really is not many problems with this game but, I have come here to ask is do you guys (the beta testers) find anything wrong with this game? Just anything you guys think could end up being a problem. Thanks 2008-10-05 22:45:00

The problems I face are bad internet lag and long loading times which won't be included in the real game. Another one that gets annoying is the camera may go somewhere else other than you. Other than that, this game is awsome2008-10-05 22:50:00

Lag will definitely be gone.

Searching is a problem, generally sends you the wrong way when you're trying to find something, and sometimes the physics glitches..

Isnt the game built on physics? lol that would be a massive issue if thats the case!

lol as hard as they may be! It has to have some degree of difficulty cuz if it didnt then everyone would have everything and that just kills the fun!

Theres a walkthrough on the forums somewhere, tells you how to get 100% in every level. Should check it out 2008-10-06 03:44:00

I don't see "physics" glitches, I just occasionally see collision detection glitches. It really hasn't been enough to actually bother me.

The game is really solid as is. Aside from the lag, the problems aren't that big of a deal. the biggest problem besides lag that I've noticed have just been the tutorials sometimes not cooperating. In some user-created levels, controlling the Sackboy has been weird, but I don't fault Mm for that at all. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

Sometimes when you grab an object, long lines go through the level, like your arm is stretching.2008-10-06 08:38:00

Collision detection is the one thing that I've noticed several times. I really want LBP to garner 10's across the review board, but this might hold them up. Then again, there were problems aplenty with GTA:IV and they still managed insane scores. LBP is as innovative as anything that's come along before it. Collision problems aren't that big of a deal; this game rules.2008-10-06 17:07:00

I've had this really annoying problem in a level I made. There is a chunk of stone, and I have a path that goes through it. I added burning blocks of stone that move into the path for increased difficulty, which are moved by pistons. Everytime I add more stone to the entire stone chunk, all of the pistons vanish. So everytime I want to edit the stone chunk, I have to redo the pistons, over and over again. They even disappear when I glue a separate object to the stone.2008-10-06 17:14:00

I haven't had many lag issues since the servers went back up. I wish there was a way to copy the settings of one motor/spring/etc to another. That would save some time. I just made a wicked train and it was a pain to tune the wheels properly.

I'd also like to have more control over sizing objects. Rather than just blowing them up I'd like to control the X and Y separately.

All of that is basically superficial though. The game is great.
