Dangit! I had this in mind for the last two weeks and never thought like posting it! Well, good job on thinking the idea anyway! | 2010-05-14 11:49:00 Author: Prince Pixelton Posts: 286 |

I agree. Think of the levels we could design! What if it was entirely made of Jelly? <3 | 2010-05-14 16:36:00 Author: Beed28 Posts: 200 |
I'd like a material that would be somehow visible in Create Mode (to know where it is) but completely invisible in Play Mode. Possibly a few versions: Invisible Dark Matter-ish (wont move anywhere) Dissolvable, Invisible Dissolvable (that Physics would like and move and still be dissolvable.). The current invisible Dark Matter trick just feels too uncomfortable and limited to use. | 2010-05-14 18:15:00 Author: Unknown User |
What's better than swimming in water? SWIMMING IN JELL-O!!! There could be a tweak setting for it that lets you swim in it instead of bounce. Jell-O Material is a great idea. :star::star::star::star::star: | 2010-05-14 18:21:00 Author: RagTagPwner Posts: 344 |
I'd like this idea. To have something to fake water with. It wouldn't be too hard to impliment. It'll behave like Gish, just a bunch of floppy vertexes, with maybe a scale setting for how 'thick and consistent' the jello is. | 2010-09-01 10:28:00 Author: Cheezy WEAPON Posts: 283 |
Jelly is a bad idea.. If you want a bounce effect use a piston and a sensor switch seriusoly >< A fun material can be created by combining existing materials with stickers. Clear=Holo material that is allready confirmed! Jiggly= What in ?? It would be more usefull having the VR materials in more colours for example ! | 2010-09-01 11:17:00 Author: Unknown User |
Jelly is in the game, but it's a solid, animated material. Comes in three colours. | 2010-09-01 11:26:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Something cool I'd like to see is being able to eat into the jello material (or any material for that matter), so you could make a giant jello pit and munch your way to the bottom. Of course, this would lead to an infinite number of possible vertices, and nearly instantaneous level meltdown. I think we need to realize that Jello's properties are just TOO awesome for LBP. | 2010-09-02 18:39:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |
If it behaves like any other drawn shape (it's 2D and 'looks' 3D, filling one of the 3 layers) it shouldn't be that much. You can even have it 'crush' like any other object so it doesn't split or collapse into itself. For that jello pit idea, I'd just make small circles of it. I mean, if there's water-like particle effects and elastic bands, I'm sure we could have simple jiggly jello boxes. | 2010-09-02 20:06:00 Author: Cheezy WEAPON Posts: 283 |
Them water-like particles aren't Reel Watorz, just a pretty projectile As for the thread, why does it say "New Material Ideas!" when there's only one? I suppose it would be very thermo-costly, because it skews, wobbles, boings, is dynamic... | 2010-09-03 17:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
